The Dallas Cowboys have had a significant overhaul at the running back position after losing DeMarco Murray to free agency and adding former first round pick, Darren McFadden.

With all of that being said, Sports Illustrated believes that the Dallas Cowboys still have a very big hole at running back and have yet to to truly address it.

On a scale of 0-10, they said that the Cowboys are at a 9 of 10. They’re basically saying that the Cowboys should be in full-on panic mode about their running back position.

While rumors have been swirling about the Cowboys trading for another running back nothing has happened yet.

Let’s hope we can get one of these guys names that has been tossed around with the Cowboys lately.

With all the national media harping on losing Murray and not drafting a RB, of course they are going to trumpet the same tune. " WTH are they doing in Dallas?"

Training camp hasn't even started yet; so keep your finger off the panic button on your key chain. But do keep your pepper spray handy.----:muttley:

Murray was a third round selection

last time I checked we have a first round choice, 4th overall in in the draft in mcFadden, a second round selection in Williams and a fifth round selection in Randle, I think we'll be just fine..

yeah It was such a tremendous loss when Dallas lost Hambrick, Julius Jones and Marion Barber..

There we go minimizing Demarco again. He's gone. Water under the bridge. But reality is right in front of us and it doesn't feel very cozy.

Anyone for Forte? I would take him in a heartbeat. Then, of course, I have been known to be selectively impulsive.

Quite frankly, I hope one of these guys takes great advantage of the situation and breaks out of his personal mold. I just don't have the confidence of others that it may happen.

Here is the deal, fans/reporters are just too far away from the organization to see what the coaches and jerry see. They see Ryan Williams and Randle every day. Even last year they were hinting at Randle being the guy. as fans, especially ones that believe in the organization, we have no choice but to trust their judgement.

I'll bet they predicted us to go 8-8 (or worse) last year also.

Which means what exactly? This is not a zero sum game. I have seen the Positive Paulines around these parts predict amazing seasons year after year and last year they were right. But for years they were not.

So which is the norm for them? Should all the predictions now be cast in stone, or is it maybe sometimes you're right and sometimes your wrong?

Nothing suggests this team is better now than they were last year in the running game. Nor does going back to pass first bode well for a team that FINALLY figured out clock control and the run game is how you hide a poor defense.

And while people are giddy about the teams new toys, and I number in that group, the bell cow pass rush is suspended for ten games, and you are depending on a rookie, two line backers in Lee and McClain that seem to get injured, a pass defense of Carr - whoopee - and Scardrick - not a starter on many many teams, and a rookie in Jones to be a bandaid for a huge hole in pass defense until the Kracken gets back.

So the one saving grace last year packed his stuff and headed east and we have bench warmers and are betting on the come on an inside straight flush to keep continuity and balance on offense.

It's fun making funny retorts and killing the messenger. Less so when you face the truth about what is and what isn't.

They may be right. They may be wrong. But dismissing the possibility this team took a serious step back and outsmarted themselves isn't out of the question.

I'd take Forte three years ago, but not now, he's a declining player and if he was the end all be all, why do you think the Bears want to get rid of him..

This guy is honestly critizing people that think the Cowboys will be successful this season. He's now resorted to name calling in his desperation. The guy with his huge signature standing as a testament to his own inability to see past his distaste for the team he is a fan of. All because Demarco Murray is gone. Wasn't Demarco on the team when you read the tea leaves and pulled 5-11?

People forget last season was Murray's first complete season without an injury to end it since his sophomore year at Oklahoma.

Whose to say this trend doesn't continue when he no longer is in a couple contract year

/well he did break his finger still

Do you have a point here? Because I don't see it.

You claim I name call. Please point it out. Your straw man arguments are petty and small. Got something of substance., like maybe showing me where what I say is wrong?

I owned what I said last year. My sig was not a lost bet. I back what I say. When I'm wrong I admit it. But I say what I think.

All I have seen from you is calling me out.

Wanna talk football, or is this sniping, and back biting all you can muster?

I put about as much stock into SI as I do into Rolling Stones magazine. Nada!
