I am sure at least 20 other teams would love to be in our "panic mode"
Many did. Including many of us on this very board. Then amazing happened in the form of Scott Linehan's approach and Demarco's will.
Do you have a point here? Because I don't see it.
You claim I name call. Please point it out. Your straw man arguments are petty and small. Got something of substance., like maybe showing me where what I say is wrong?
I owned what I said last year. My sig was not a lost bet. I back what I say. When I'm wrong I admit it. But I say what I think.
All I have seen from you is calling me out.
Wanna talk football, or is this sniping, and back biting all you can muster?
It still amazes me that people could watch the offense last year and see the holes opened up for Murray...
... and watched what Marinelli did with little talent on defense...
... and then, when Dallas improves its offensive line by a pretty big margin (Collins)...
... and then see the improvements on the defense, including a first round defensive back (Jones), much improved pass rushers (Hardy, Gregory, Lawrence for a full year), a healthy Sean Lee, and a Rolando McClain that has been in an offseason program for the first time in three years...
And still predict a slide back to 8-8.
Utterly astounding.
The weight they give Murray for last year is incredible.
I'll bet they predicted us to go 8-8 (or worse) last year also.

But dismissing the possibility this team took a serious step back and outsmarted themselves isn't out of the question.

Collins hasn't proven anything at the pro level and considering that he is a rookie, he could have a hard time beating Leary out as a starter. Leary is no slouch. JJ Watt can confirm this. Long term, Collins may be an upgrade, but he is not at this point. How does that equal improvement on a big scale? For the coming season, it doesn't. Two years from now, it should be a different story though. Every first round rated lineman is not going to have the success that Martin had.
Bottom line, they have to pick something to write about to get clicks and ratings. If we had kept Murray, he would have been a "huge question mark" (because of his carries the previous year) heading into this season, in the "experts' " eyes. Now people act like he is the next Emmitt Smith. Emmitt was the epitome of greatness on a consistent level, not a good back that had one great season. Furthermore, they say we disrespect Murray...well, I say they disrespect the Oline and the rest of this team. I cannot wait for the season to start.
Now, I will excuse myself from this board for a while because the number of Murray threads is getting ridiculous and do nothing but feed the haters!
If Martin was the only rookie to have success on the OL, then that point would have more merit. He's not. Frederick and Smith both had a great deal of success as well. They also weren't in nearly the spot that Collins will be if he is starting in between Smith and Frederick.
I know you've got it into your head that rookies have some sort of bar that they can't possibly cross, but the examples disputing that point have been provided to you on multiple occasions. Enough of them are on this team that it shouldn't be too difficult to grasp.

Murray was a third round selection
last time I checked we have a first round choice, 4th overall in in the draft in mcFadden, a second round selection in Williams and a fifth round selection in Randle, I think we'll be just fine..
yeah It was such a tremendous loss when Dallas lost Hambrick, Julius Jones and Marion Barber..

My name isn't Pauline. If you don't think Gregory, Hardy and Jones aren't upgrades to Selvie, Spencer and Moore you're hopelessly confused about the topic of football. If you don't think Scandrick is a starter on many many teams you're blind and biased. Judging by your history here and elsewhere, see I know your poor track record, I'd say all those are true.
What humors me is the contradiction in your steadfast attack on predictions that don't mesh with your own and your plain as day history of failure in that respect. And the fact that your entire argument is based in the absence of an individual who was present when you made a fool of yourself previously.
Demarco Murray's here: 5-11.
Oh Noes Demarco Murray is gone: 5-11.
