you're giving him way to much credit

how so? we are saying he is a proven playoff performer, plays good defense, can rebound well, can shot a decent jumper, and over 30, he is PERFECT for the spurs

This is the closest thing we have to that kind of commercial out here... dumb Easterns Motors ads, usually featuring dopey Redsk*ns.

I forgot about this one (more of a Baltimore area thing) with Jonathan Ogden of the Ravens. This one is so bad it's greatness:

37 year old washed up Player - great trade - LOL

and this from a guy who roots for Bruschi, Vrabel, Seau, Harrison........etal

Also........the Celtics have three 30 somethings......and have been rumored to be trying to get Cassell and wanted Stoudamire.

And.........several analysts have stated this was an excellent move by the Spurs. several other teams wanted Thomas.....he is a great addition to our team from a defensive standpoint.

maybe you should concern yourself more with the celtics 0-2 record against the west and overall since the all star break and not with our new 35 year old veteran that we gave up almost nothing for, and who, by the way, happens to play garnett very well

Makes sense. Thomas is from Dallas, played at TCU, so it's closer to home for him and Thomas has 3 daughters and it probably makes sense for him to be a bit closer to home. Plus, a chance to win a championship before he retires. Thomas has always played hard. Rebounds well, plays good defense. He's small for a center but he will bang for you and give you minutes off the bench. Plus, he's just a good guy. He will fit in well and won't cause chemistry problems.

This is a good trade for San Antonio. Thomas is one of the really good guys in the NBA. He will not show up in the papers. The addition of Thomas only makes the Spurs better IMO.

Wow .... Thomas is 35 .... So I guess you are as good in math as you are everything else.

I am gonna enjoy the Celtics fall as much as I did when your Patriots got slapped.

Actually, he was quite valuable when he was with the Suns and can be a formidable threat against other teams.

Good pickup for the Spurs-bad for the Suns.

Incorrect. What I don't get is if you hate the Suns so much, how do you apparently think you know enough to comment on what did or didn't help the team? Do you read up on them every day? I doubt it.

So the Suns' loss means it didn't help them last night? On the contrary, losing doesn't mean jack in one game to decide if a trade helped or hindered any team in the NBA.

Before delving into any response to your post, are you a Spurs fan?

It was mostly a joke .... But no I do not think Nash and Shaq will ever be able to work together.

Nash wants to push the Ball and play pick and roll in the half court.

Shaq wants to be fed in the paint and throw down to the cutter, at a much slower pace.

Maybe 6 years ago this duo would work .... but not now (IMNHO)

He is a Celtic fan because they have the best record right now.

Same reason he was a Patriots fan.

Funny thing is I always liked the Suns ..... till last year when their fans could just not take their defeat like men.

So Its not really the Suns I dislike .....

And I have always liked Shaq ..... the guy is the most dominating low post player ever in my opinion. Not the best .... just the most Physically dominating.

Steve Nash is an incredible ball player who just gets better with age .....

If these 2 and Stoudamire had been on a team together 6 years ago I think you guys would have cruised to a championship.
