Thank god. I think that's the best idea they've had all year.

Absolutely no reason to have all of our proven veterans out there right now.

I'd like to see Green at RT, Mitchell at CB, Heath at S, Swaim at TE, Irving at the 1T, Butler and Street at WR, etc.

These last two games should look like preseason games.

Edit: Escobar is done for the year.

This is wrong. The Cowboys should be about putting the best possible product on the field during the regular season. Throwing away regular season games is just quitting, IMO. Evaluating young talent can be done in training camp and preseason. This is nothing more than a gift to the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. This is also an indication that the coaching staff has the full support of the front office and no major changes will be made there in the off season, hopefully to the chagrin of many of the folks here at CZ. In the off season, once again we'll be seeing how accountability really isn't a priority with the Cowboys. The glory days are indeed a distant memory and there is little hope to see them return in the next few years.

Without an opportunity to play, how can you truly know what the best possible product is? Until Romo got to start, the perception was Bledsoe gave us the best chance to win that year. I think the young players deserve a shot, if for no other reason than our set of players who give us the "best chance to win" have managed to best chance their way to 4-10.

The best product is what the practice field reveals it to be. The young players aren't entitled to play anymore than anyone else, just because they are "young".

Sounds like they are reading the message board. I commend them for this decision. We need to see what we have in these younger guys and hopefully we retain our draft position.

Pretty sad. Hoping for pain for your fellow Cowboys fans because they may disagree with you about whether or not to maintain the status quo.

I would suggest stepping away from the computer. Stop thinking about the Cowboys. Spend time with your family. Go volunteer. Take a walk in nature.

I think the best use of these remaining, meaningless games would be evaluating the roster overall. See what you do and don't have, and get the best assessment of your team for the future.

This guy here.. at some point at 4-10 it hasn't work with whats out there now its just not our year so whats going to be better for your team? why not give a young player an opportunity, its a different set of eyes and instincts so who knows we may be able to address some needs now that we don't have to so early in the draft next year.... whats wrong with seeing what you got you made the roster for a reason.. I'm sure if it was you you would want your shot as well to prove you can help a team in this league...

I know Free sucks now, but he was not a great practice player.

Once he got onto the field, he showed the coaching staff he was good enough to play LT then RT.

I don't mind if the young guys get some playing time. Especially if the guy they would be replacing has a low chance of returning next year.

Evaluate young players, its all just window dressing and means very little if we stick with the same coaching staff next year.

Its time to end the failed training experiment and get a real coach in here who will hold the players accountable and shake things up a bit. Everybody from the FO on down to the PS players are all too comfortable. Evaluate players all you want, but until we see some significant change and trash the process its just more of the same, just different names on the jersey.

LOL, did guys other than Moore, "earn" the right to replace injured starters, or did they just replace injured starters because they were next in line on the depth chart?
