Pretty sad. Hoping for pain for your fellow Cowboys fans because they may disagree with you about whether or not to maintain the status quo.

I would suggest stepping away from the computer. Stop thinking about the Cowboys. Spend time with your family. Go volunteer. Take a walk in nature.

I'm not wishing for pain of anyone at all. The discomfort is from the poor course of action by the Cowboys which I am hoping to see the fans push back.

Given the time of year, your suggestion is probable sound advice.

This is wrong. This is also an indication that the coaching staff has the full support of the front office and no major changes will be made there in the off season, hopefully to the chagrin of many of the folks here at CZ. In the off season, once again we'll be seeing how accountability really isn't a priority with the Cowboys. The glory days are indeed a distant memory and there is little hope to see them return in the next few years.
You are hoping that fans that are looking for positive coaching changes in the off season will be disappointed and in the same breath, you concede that those same coaches will not be held accountable for their poor performance this year and that this team will likely continue to struggle as a consequence. OK, then.

This guy here.. at some point at 4-10 it hasn't work with whats out there now its just not our year so whats going to be better for your team? why not give a young player an opportunity, its a different set of eyes and instincts so who knows we may be able to address some needs now that we don't have to so early in the draft next year.... whats wrong with seeing what you got you made the roster for a reason.. I'm sure if it was you you would want your shot as well to prove you can help a team in this league...

Maybe you've heard this before.... You play to win the game! Putting the best product on the field should always be the goal in the regular season. So this year things haven't worked out. To fix it, first you have to understand why that is. Was it because the veterans aren't as good as the young players? If that were the case then it would be revealed on the practice field but it's not the case. You ask, why not give a young player an opportinity? The obvious answer is because they aren't proving to be the best on the practice field. THE PRACTICE FIELD! Not the regular season game field. Even if it was me, I'd understand I have to prove myself on the practice field first.

O....K..then.

No... I am hoping that the fans that see something is a miss with this coaching staff will express their discontintment when nothing major changes on the coaching staff this off season. I do think the coaches will not be held accountable.

All players try to win. Maybe this injection of youngers players here and there is just what we need to get a W. I also like the message it sends to the vets about next year.

You would like to think all players try to win but that's just not true... a young player like Patmon, comes to mind. Being an eternal optimist as you are being now, is laudable. Thank you. But this "injection of young players" as you say it is snake oil that will not get better results. How do I know this? Because the younger players aren't better on the practice field.

Evaluate young players, its all just window dressing and means very little if we stick with the same coaching staff next year.

Its time to end the failed training experiment and get a real coach in here who will hold the players accountable and shake things up a bit. Everybody from the FO on down to the PS players are all too comfortable. Evaluate players all you want, but until we see some significant change and trash the process its just more of the same, just different names on the jersey.

That's not going to change until there is no "Jones" next to the GM title.

I don't agree with you, but I didn't think you were wishing pain on Cowboys fans who disagreed with you.

Like a walk off a bridge into the river or ravine, now that is a nature trip.

Mitchell is the only CB all year with an INT. Heath leads the team with 2 INTs.

What an indictment of Carr, Mo, Henderson.

Time to clean house in the secondary.

And if this ever changed, I would bet 90% of those that want change will be complaining in a year, that they want a new GM.
As many of these fans would change 90% of the team every year, because they don't have 53 all-pro players.

Replace Henderson first, then see what the secondary can do. Yes need better players, but only replace those if an upgrade, not just to replace them.

no better experience than game day period and your missing my whole point which is 2 games left NO Playoffs so at some point these guys got to get game experience if you want to develop and keep them or get better players. this is evaluation time I know you don't like it but this is the reality and if we keep doing what we doing were gonna lose anyway so why not play younger guys Mitchell got a pick which is something none of our starters has done this season after 14 games.. side note to I think Garrett had tooooo long of a string on Cassel i would have trusted my eyes on him but of coarse im just a fan idk what goes on in locker room but I know what my eyes see and I saw a TERRIBLE NFL quality QB in Cassell I had absolutely No hope when he was playing None at all whatsoever period etc and all that in between.... he was very inaccurate most of the time and me personally id take a qb with a so so arm but is accurate and understands placement over a qb that looks the par but cant put it together on the field that just don't make sense to me that's insane doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different but hey im just at home watching the games now I digress.. So that's why I say give the young player a shot.. I been calling for most of the year early that Lucky should have been the punt returner because of what he brings that cole just doesn't, because our offense is terrible and at least he gives us a chance to make a play at any moment with field position but all they talked about was trust and fumble even though kick returner was his niche in college and why he's even here from my understanding, so there is not a punt returner in history of nfl that hasn't fumbled if you are a returner, so if you never get the chance you never know and as you can see even your most trusted punt returner (Beasly) fumbles, it happens. we were waaayyyyyy to conservative annnnnd it cost us like I thought it would.. just my 55 cents cause its long reply somewhat

Thing is, they need to watch on how many younger, inexperienced players play and are on the field at the same time. It can't be like PS games.
Then you get the excuses [from fans] that Moore could not play well, because he had a backup OL and backup WR's.
How can a WR get a true evaluation with Moore trying to throw to them under pressure, because he has no line to protect him. Same for a RB, as if the play Rod Smith, no line for blocking.

If Mitchell is in at CB, but no pass rush. Well, that lacks too at times. But how is he too cover a WR for 6 seconds. The best CB's have a hard time with that even.

Need to pick and choose to get a good evaluation.

If you caught Garrett's press conference yesterday, it certainly sounded like to me that this is no time for experimenting for the Cowboys. They are out to win two games at the end of the season. We are watching the same games so don't act like you see something the rest of us don't. It's obvious it was time for Cassel to ride the pine. I'm fine with Moore getting the nod to start, that's in keeping with what I've been saying with going with what they see best at practice. Moore was already getting half the snaps at practice last week so you had to know they were seeing something then in him to lend to the course of action in the game they took by benching Cassel.

This is wrong. The Cowboys should be about putting the best possible product on the field during the regular season. Throwing away regular season games is just quitting, IMO. Evaluating young talent can be done in training camp and preseason. This is nothing more than a gift to the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. This is also an indication that the coaching staff has the full support of the front office and no major changes will be made there in the off season, hopefully to the chagrin of many of the folks here at CZ. In the off season, once again we'll be seeing how accountability really isn't a priority with the Cowboys. disagree, this is about advancing the development of the team
to do other wise would not be skillful use of high value time
