As someone who also “Goes Smooth”, it’s exhausting trying to prove to people you care just as much as the guy that won’t shut up, in a work environment.

So much of it is perception. If you’re not a yapper, some people assume you’re disengaged or don’t care.

It is what it is, but I’ve seen so many people that talk a good game but couldn’t put rubber to road when it came time to do the work.

Thats Taco ... too much talk-o .

I'll never understand the distain for the Hotboyz moniker on this site.

Not really different than any other silly nickname given in the past imo...... Brady's boys??....Smash, Dash and Tash???? Lol! Please.
You may be on to something, I never heard of hotboyz until Cowboys used it, I was expecting something more along these lines...

How Taco Charlton rubbed the Cowboys wrong and what he changed to get back on field

Taco%20Dec%2023.JPG

When the Dallas Cowboys started reducing defensive end Taco Charlton's usage over the last month, it was blamed on his attitude in practice. He said he was benched because they didn't like the way he carried himself.

Great news in my opinion. It sounds like this young player got the message and has gotten with the program, good for him and good for the team!

According to JJT, he said his source in the organization says the reduction in snaps was a direct result of him being solely focused on getting sacks. To the point that he would refuse to set the edge, maintain gap assignments, or read the backs slipping out for a screen pass to his side. He was only interested in sacks because he feels that is the only way he gets a big contract like DLaw is getting.
Not sure who to believe, but I'm leaning towards JJT

I had heard the same thing about not carrying out his assignments and responsibilities as well. And from his own quotes, it sounds like that was certainly part of it, although he seemed to want to point to other things. As long as he got the message, I don't care how he interprets it to the media.

90% of the links you go to you have to get their digital version after a few looks or you can't read them anymore. I find the whole thing annoying. Ditto for USA today as well. Everyone wants a piece of your wallet.

Welcome to what journalism has become nowadays.

The way I look at it is this If it makes them play better to be called the Hotboyz and the represent then Im Kool. So they need to represent in the playoffs and show up as the Hotboyz otherwise the title should be thrown out.

They sure didn't look so "hot" when the Colts offensive line was abusing them.

I think it is because you have some older people that don't like rap. I love it for what it is but I know who the hot boyz are and maybe some people don't think its a fearsome enough name like names in the past. Them are the only reasons I can think of for people not liking the names.

Actually do something before you label yourself as having arrived

"Them" might also be a reason

Fans are tired of cheap talk
Win the SB , then talk

To this point Taco has been a massive disappointment. Not only has he not produced on the field... the guy is walking around with an air of entitlement before he has done a damn thing for the franchise. Grow up. Grow a pair of balls. Put your work in. Make some headlines with your play-- not your mouth for a change.

During his time on the bench-- he posted a tweet that he just needed a coach to believe in him. That is exactly the kind of mentality that defeats success. You gotta go low and serve, work, seek to understand rather than be understood in order to start to bring value to your team.

I hope he puts it together and can start to contribute-- but he was never going to succeed in the NFL on his pure talent. His only path forward was always going to be because he outworked and out hustled everybody else. His mentality is the biggest thing holding him back IMO. He doesn't need a player-friendly coach to coddle him and understand him-- he needs a drill sergeant who will put his foot up his backside and teach him how to be a man. I think Rod can play that role in his life if Taco will humble himself and allow himself to be molded.

You guys are funny.

So he got sideways.

I'm sure all of you have walked a straight line, in everything you ever do.

Between this and his sack celebration there is no way you can call him a bad pick.
Lol. Sorry but I liked the sack celebration. Maybe I am just happy we got a sack. But it’s funny when he hands them out and the players run away acting like they are eating them. Holding there heads sideways. Hilarious. But he needs to get his poop in a group and do work.

What a joke staff. They only play guys they "like" personally. I thought this was a football team not a miss america contest. Coaches have a problem with what's going aside you pull the KID aside and work with him, not hang him out to dry. This is so evident with this staff. They loved bumdrick so he played. Loved church so he played. Love Ty craw so he plays. They just want yes men. This staff could never have handled real talent like deion, charles haley, and we saw what happened with garrett and TO.
