I dont think Garrett should be fired, but he is really pushing his luck.
Must remember - firing Garrett would set the team and the system back.
Reminder - self control.

Yea, that spike with around 48 seconds left on first down was puzzling. They should have been in the hurry up offense and the Packers secondary playing very loose, would have gobbled up yardage and set themselves up for a TD for the win. And at worst would have a time out left for an easy FG to tie with just a few seconds remaining and then go into overtime.

But oh well, at least Garrett can sleep well. Here is where his inexperience and lack of success in the post season really hurt. I think he panicked. Oh well, all this starts over in a few months. :D

Yep. We've put up with the process this far........I can't go through another 6 years of another coach putting his process in. Then maybe their process wouldn't take too long.

What will it take for people to learn that Linehan calls the offensive plays and Marinelli calls the defense?

I'm sure Jason makes some calls, like whether to punt or go for it, two-point conversion versus 1-point...that kind of thing.

Maybe it was Jason's call to spike...maybe Linehan's...and maybe Dak did it on his own.

We had been moving at will against the Pack defense... it was likely we were going to get 10 yards in two plays.

Now...should we have a set play...a default play for such situations? Yes.

Who is in the QBs ear piece, JG or Linehan? That will tell you whose responsible for spiking the ball.

Cant remember if I read it here or on Facebook, but the article said no other team spiked the ball this season in 65 spikes, with more than 40 seconds and a time out left. Pretty telling!

I'm glad he was able to sleep well. Great game plan, Garrett. Your team came into the game well prepared.

I was like why spike the damn ball bust Zeke up the gut that defense was gassed and thinking pass. If nothing is there use your timeout. At the same time GB has to concern themselves with the possibility of another run. They had them there and it was for the taking so yeah if I'm Garrett I'm using all the football logic I can think of to justify my decisions.

Jason Garrett needs some help as far as I'm concerned. You through a down away with a time out??? Hello wake up. Lets talk about Dallas's beautiful coaching job GARRETT and his crew. A) you spike ball???? B) 3 & 3 and you don't go with Zeke the guy you guys have been saying how he has being amazing?????? C) Def does a beautiful job at the end to sack rogers and then next play you line up with 3 guys on the line???? *** Good idea lets give a great quarterback like rogers all the time back there.

IF IM GARRETT THIS IS WHAT I SAY

Run the ball with ZEKE and make GB use there time out's. Worst case i call my time out and kick a friend goal. Now GB gets the ball back with less then 33 seconds cause the less time the better
2) I tell my kicker make sure you keep ball out of the end zone and tell my special team to protect the side line and force him in the middle so they can burn time off instead of starting at the 20????? HELLO

Reminds me when Belichick didn't call a TO in the SB against the Seahawks.

We had them on their heels and players scrambling in that moment was in our favor. If anything, call a fake spike like Big Ben did to us this season.

Should've run another play. Going for the td is nice. He should've planned for the possibility of them forcing us the tie it and how much time would be left.
