Justin Durant should be available for the Bears game after missing the last two games because of a hamstring injury. But look for Kyle Wilber to remain the starter at strongside linebacker, per owner Jerry Jones.
Wilber has played so well in his place the last couple of weeks that the notion of a starter not losing his job due to injury is out the window.
"If you lose it and you’re the starter then you’re supposed to be the starter when you get back. So much for that," Jones said on his radio show Tuesday morning. "I’m excited about Wilber as a player and asset for the Dallas Cowboys. He had the highest grade of any grade that our coach had ever graded a linebacker, against either, probably was against the Giants. He was just so impressive. And he’s come such a long way. We really might have him placed in a place that he can really excel. He’s always had a lot of natural ability and has got a great story from Wake Forest. Bottom line is this, it’s great after two ballgames to see that not pop up, that really whatever caused him to have the incentive to step out and play at this level. So here over these next few ballgames, against Chicago for starters, he’s going to be a big factor for us on defense. But I wouldn’t want to say who’s actually the starter."
