Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn’t know, and perhaps no one does, if Jay Ratliff will be ready to practice next week when he is eligible to come off the physically unable to perform list.
“I don’t know that he knows. I don’t know that anybody knows,” Jones said Wednesday on KRLD 105.3 FM “The Fan.”
Ratliff is trying to recover from hernia surgery last year and a hamstring injury at the start of training camp. The Cowboys placed him on the PUP list to start the season.
“He is beginning to work through what we all hope is a secure injury area that has hopefully healed,” Jones said. “I don’t know that. I can’t speak to that, and I don’t know that anybody does. We will painstakingly go slow here in trying to work him back in.”
