Didn't realize there was the argument against Dwight. As a rotation guy, I wouldn't have had a problem with him either.

Neither would I. But plenty of people somehow did, and "progress stopper" was the foolish quote used again and again.

For the record, I've come around on a Ware return. If his back checks out, I think he makes as much sense as any of the other questionable DE options.

Absolutely. If he comes in for a relatively inexpensive short-term deal I really do not see any problem with this. We aren't going to break the bank on a pass rusher and any pass rusher we draft at #28 really should not be counted on to do much in year one.

This excites me from the standpoint of having an older, proven vet who can contribute for cheap as a rotation player. Ware isn't an every-down player anymore, but he can be a contributor.

It would cease to excite me if Dallas saw signing him as the answer to our pass-rush problems.

Who progress would he be stopping? And I say that not to be facetious. Lawrence and Mayowa?

thats my point too. Let me be clear because you have always been stand up. Thats exactly what im asking both sides. I am against Ware coming back. I didnt care that he left, but i understood why. Both sides lose out on this. One, the progress stopper crowd, there is no one to progress stop, and the other side because we dont have a solid Qb killer.
