He probably would have because Joseph Randle did.
He would have beaten Joseph Randle as well,
Difference is they will trust Zeke more than they did any other RB they would have drafted in the lower rounds as a rookie...something some seem to forget.
If they would have drafted a later round running back this year...they would probably have treated them just like they did most of their past rookie running backs not drafted in the first round...in other words, barely get any touches.
2006-2016 Ten years worth of drafts.
RBs taken (not including FBs Deon Anderson and Shaun Chapas)
Joseph Randle - 54 attempts 164 yards rushing 2 TDs 8 receptions for 61 yards 0 TDs
Tashard Choice - 92 attempts 472 yards rushing 2 TDs 21 receptions 185 yards 0 TDs
Only First rounder of the bunch....Felix Jones - 30 attempts 266 rushing yards 3 TDs 2 Receptions 10 yards 0 TDs
For a grand total of 902 rushing yards 7 TDs and 256 Receiving yards and 0 TDs.
First off...look at the number of RBs this team has taken in that ten year period...yet everyone thinks they are going to just take a middle or late rounder...they thought that last year too.
But also look at the number of games and carries those RBs got with this team as a ROOKIE.
Now I don't think it will be stretch to say that Zeke will come close to those totals or even beat them because I think they will play him more and give him more of a role on this offense because he is that good of a player...I doubt they would have if they drafted a RB in the 3-6 rounds.
But that is just my projections at this point.
