For several reasons.

To take pressure off of Prescott by having a seasoned back instead of another rookie in the backfield.

Elliott still needs to acclimate to the pro game. His training camp/preseason was sparse. This game is way too important.

Alfred has something to prove.

Doubt we'll see that mainly due to where Zeke was drafted.

I do hope, IF Zeke is struggling, we do get Morris in the game for more than two series.

Nah. Start Elliott and see what happens, but give Morris way more carries than last week (if nothing has changed).

I'm expecting a good game out of Zeke, a week of practice, some film study on Washington, and he shouldn't have any first game nervousness.

Nope, no way. You dont go switching around like after one game. It would be bad for the confidence and hierarchy of the RB's. Zeke is the one right now with the most to prove after last week. Lets see how he bounces back. You dont give up on the 4th pick after one game. They have designed their entire offense and future around this kid. If he runs poorly then you can just put in Morris.

Practicing against our D gives the offense a false sense of security and accomplishment. All plays look great against them, but when you play against real players those plays dont turn out so great.

Zeke: man that play looked great when we blocked mayowa and colllins took out gachkar.
Linehan: yeah. I dont know why it isnt working against these dudes.

Overall, there should be little excuse in my mind to not have a successful day running the football against Washington.

A line of Ziggy Hood, Kedric Gholston and Chris Baker backed by Kerrigan, Will Compton, Mason Foster and Preston Smith should be easier to handle than the Giants.

If we struggle again, then you have to start pointing the finger at the OL and also the blocking scheme.

And vice versa.. Playing against a basic offense doesn't allow the defense to improve.. Nobody had trouble stopping this offense in the red-zone, including scrub defenses...

I do think it would be a great idea to let Morris start against his old team and then bring the kid in after Morris wears them down and let him just tear them up

The future of this team is Dak and EE. No need for big changes. They can give Morris more carries regardless of who starts.

I would start EE but if Morris comes in and gets hot keep him in the darn game. We should have success vs this defense. They gave up 4.8 ypc last year and it actually looks worse. If We can get to the second level on there defense it's a wrap for them.

Washington looked horrible and they play right into our strengths.

Couldn't stop the run, allowed big plays downfield to the receiver, and Cousins couldn't complete passes against zone coverage and no pass rush.

They suck. I predicted a 4 or 5 win season for them this year and I still expect that.

Dallas gets right this week. Big week for either Dez or Zeke. I imagine Dez gets forced the ball more because Dallas coaches always seem to get persuaded by the media when they catch heat for playcalling.

I am more worried about preventing an 0-2 start than Zeke having the starter title in every game of his career. Morris looked better Sunday, and I want to be up about 56-0 at halftime. As long as Zeke plays well, he can start again the next week. If the coaches want to save his ego, tell him it's because it's a homecoming game for Alfred.

In a way, if Garrett wanted to be super duper clever, he would have Morris out there on the first offensive snap.

Just for drama value.
