Any fan pinning that loss on Dak clearly hates him. He went toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers in that game passing for just over 300 yards and three TDs with a passer rating of over 100.0. When the Cowboys got down 21-3 that game was pretty much over and he brought us back. All the momentum was on the Cowboys side in the final few minutes of the game until our defense choked!
True but as i said above when discussing Romo vs Dak and trying to justify a stance its always going to need outliers because the fact is neither had teams that could go deep in the playoffs and both had some good games and some bad ones. Seperating them takes a degree of moving the grey area over to the side you want to make the point. To me both where/are capable but neither has played with anything close to a complete team like Aikman/Roger..even White who honestly played some great games with lesser talent than Troy or Roger.

In the order they were presented.
But was this really worth a thread, seeing how everyone's order is going to be about the same.

he whopped a bad game plan 19 points is hardly an explosion.,. it was our pitiful Gameplan on offense that lost us that game.. anew OL, rookie LT, new LG , New rt, lost half our targets in the pass game, zeke running well and they abandon the run and went pass happy ..worst GP of Moore's career and he ended with 2nd worst ..that why he got fired. Hardly be able to debate Dak finally beats NE and TB12 when they basically were much weaker teams and older players.
My point isn’t that Brady or the Buccs are prime Brady. You said it meant more to beat Brady 5 years ago and I’m just saying this Brady and Buccs team was as good or better.

Every team we’ve had under Dak and Romo had deficiencies that were exposed in the playoffs. Most of the deficiencies have been on defense. Either we can’t stop the run or we can’t stop the past or a combination of both. In the last two playoff games the Cowboys have lost Dak hasn’t played well. However, he played well enough to win against Aaron Rodgers in 2016 and against Jared Goff in 2018. Our defense simply didn’t get it done in those games. Staubach and Aikman had great teams and they didn’t have to carry them during those championship seasons.

Romo and Dak have had to do far more to win games and it always catches up to the Cowboys in the playoffs. They never had the running games or defenses Staubach and Aikman had. Both had Hall of Fame runners and all world defenses. In today’s NFL you have to throw the ball a lot more to win. The rules have opened up the passing game, and have had an affect on defenses. You need to put up a lot of points to win games.

I never said Dak was perfect against Green Bay, but he’s not the one who gave up 355 yards passing to Rodgers, including a 35 yard pass on a 3rd and 20 with just seconds remaining in the game. Dak brought the Cowboys back from an 18 point deficit to tie that game and our defense choked!
I watched the game . . . but thanks for the recap:thumbup:

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
Start Romo, bench Aikman, cut Dak.

With an equal roster, Romo was a better QB with a better football mind than Aikman.

These threads really devolve. It is a shame. We have hit a point that people are so worried about being right vs just being realistic as to the history of players, etc.
Everybody thought DEVO was wrong when they preached that civilization would devolve and would become big fisted love baboons again…….nobodys laughing at DEVO now.

I’m not building up anyone.

Aikman was one of the most successful qbs due to the team around him. To understand that you have to truly understand the game.
The same could be said of Bradshaw, Bart Starr, Staubach, Montana, Young, etc. All were on great teams. What’s your point?

Bart Starr, Montana, Staubach, Young were all much better than Aikman. Aikman won because of his team. Bradshaw probably the worst QB out of all of them. Without that Steelers teams he is a nobody.

Well in the real world, Dak took Romo's job. Let that sink in for a minute.
Your typical Romo cry baby that never forgave Dak and will hate him no matter how much Dak proves them all wrong.

Dak won rookie of the year and they were still crying. 13-3 and Cowboys won 11 in a row that year with Dak at QB.

Looking back at two years ago againts SF Dak actually did play good enough to win. 260 yards and 2 TD's with a pick.

Had Dak played THAT well THIS year the Cowboys probably win. It highlights HOW bad the defense really was two years ago against the Niners.

Our D plays how they played THIS year and Dak plays how he did TWO years ago and we win the game. And thats even with Zeke stinking up the joint both games.

To be fair, the Cowboys are one of a small handful of front offices stupid enough that let that happen.
13-3 and the Cowboys won 11 in a row and Dak won rookie of the year.

And your claim is they were stupid? LOL

Your just upset that Romo up and quit the next year. Heck even Romo was saying Dak earned it on the sidelines after the Eagles win.

7 years later and you Romo cry babies still havent gotten over it. Too funny.
