Rico has a little more pop. Use pollard still. Let him get more catches and jet sweeps and get him in motion too.

Gallup just isn’t clicking with Dak and ceedee and cooks need to get going . Tolbert and brooks have shown some flashes.

Expected compensation for Gallup? Idk liek a backup corner from Carolina or a starting linebacker from like chicago
Agree, Rico needs to start……Gallup needs to sit, he’s not really providing anything, no separation, time to see what Tolbert can do.

Side note: I never noticed how short Cooks is. I noticed it last night in a shot where he was standing next to some other players.
I noticed it in the endzone after he caught a pass for a TD

Don’t see where Rico has more pop than Pollard. Pollard has big play ability. Rico hasn’t had a run over 10 yards. He may be a little more stronger inside runner but he hasn’t shown any big play ability. The back who gives you the chance at a big play should receive the most carries.

I still don't get the hate on Gallup. They were forcing it to him for a reason: to open up the rest of the offense.

And it worked. When you force it, there will be incompletions. Yes, he dropped a TD pass. But targeting Gallup early and often made the defense have to account for him, which left the other players open.
This!!! ^^^

Sad to see so many not understand this.

Rico just runs with more confidence between the tackles it’s an eyeball test thing with me. I see a guy who might flourish with the first series and running hard and getting the nod to start.

Pollard will still start you just give him the ball in more creative ways. We should be running the Miami offense with the motions. Pollard Turpin and cooks and ceedee all should always be moving. Then ya fake the fake and five hunter luepke the inside dive boom

I’m not seeing the same thing you’re seeing with Rico. Pollard can break a big play at any time. He’s had four runs that are longer than Rico’s longest run. Rico doesn’t scare anyone but defenses have to focus on Pollard because he has a reputation for breaking off long runs. He’s a more dangerous back than Rico.

I have to agree based on five games of 2023 schedule. Pollard is great as a changeup - he’s not a lead-horse type. Those are the early returns.

I like Dowdle - let’s repurpose before it becomes too late.

As far as trading Gallup - what can you reasonably expect to get for the player. This is the WORST time to deal him - he’s in value Death Valley.

I honestly think they're trying to showcase Gallup to trade him ... But it's not working
Then they should play to his strengths. But they are not. Gallup can not or just is not winning off the line on those stupid 2 yard routes mike is calling. Those quick passes should goto someone else, cooks or fergy or a big WR named CD. Gallup needs to go back to catching intermediate passes where he looked better at getting open.

Dowdle is better between the tackles but for an offense struggling you have to have Pollard as lead back. That 60 yard run got them off the mat otherwise it was going to be another Brian Anger booming punt . Lamb Ferguson Cooks Pollard all have rolls to help put points up .

As a struggling offense are the Cowboys up for throwing wide receivers to the curb . No . And Jalen Tolbert where has he disappeared to . No plays on offense no targets . 3rd rounder .

Gallup=yet another bad contract. But “we like our guys”, especially after injury.

It’s crazy how bad our line, starting line has been playing. No holes to run through. How much is the players vs blocking schemes, I’m not sure…..
Man I hope they do something this bye week. I don't know if they need to get healthy or what but they have not been playing well I don't care what the rankings say.

Don't think they should trade Gallup.

Do think they should target Cooks more.

Getting him more involved would be just what this offense needs.
That's right. The success of this team depends a lot on Cooks and Gallup.

I don't get the hate either. He literally was jumping as high as he could and still couldn't reach some of those passes. He got a lot of targets just not many catchable balls. Not his fault.
He dropped at least two. One was a very crucial situation, and he whiffed. But it happens. Every player. I know what kind of player Gallup is.

Injuries aside, that is, if thy both stay healthy, I bet Gallup's career is longer than Pollard's. He's still on an upward trajectory. We're better than we were last year with Noah Brown; we're just not acting like it. Operator errors, my dad would say.

Cowboys need to bring in Leonard Fournette for a workout. They need a real power back and Fournette is great at blitz pickups. He's the closest thing to filling the Zeke roll that's available right now.
They had THE ENTIRE OFFSEASON AND PRESEASON to bring in a RB and they whiffed. Pollard is not a bell cow RB but MM ran him up the gut for 2 yds about 85 times last night. Asinine all the way around.

Once again the forum is spot on calling these players out.....love it. Dak put the ball on him way too many times. Gots to go.....we have all seen enough of this guy. Yes, untradeable. Complete liability.....flush it now!
