Twitter: Statement from Vegas Police regarding Zeke's incident

He's an idiot. Period.

Only reason anyone here defends him is that he is a good player on their favorite team.

I wanna win too but I'm tired of all the idiocy.
if not for previous RB's stealing underwear in the mall he would have gone down as certainly one of the tops in stupid.

Funny how the Chiefs cut Kareem Hunt within hrs of this happening. We haven't even heard a word from the team about this. Jerry Jones hoping it all goes away...

I was there and saw the whole thing:

Zeke got in the guys personal space and the dude got scared, stepped back and tripped. Zeke reached to try and save him but it was too late.

Oh and my name is Brian Williams lol.

A problem with what, being 23 and having fun?

He didn't do anything here, we're only talking about it because it's Zeke.
I had fun at 23 and never shoved a security guard and I was plenty sauced. He’s a ******* and the sooner we can get rid of him the better. Let’s trade him to the Jets for Bell. I swear Zeke is dumber than he looks.

In Vegas, 3am is just about as busy as 3pm.

yep, I remember first time I was there, I went to the front desk and asked for a wake up call, my firm had an event where i had to be at the front door of the hotel for 730am so I asked for a wake up call at 6. The clerk asked Am or PM. In no other city would you get that question.

Yeah he's definitely going to serve games for this but it's cool, we got Tony Pollard.

When does this hell end?

Well sure he’s 23. But the moment he decided to be a professional football player, he no longer is your normal 23 year old.

While this thing isn’t a huge deal, it again shows a lack of maturity one would hope he has gained since his previous issues off the field.

"Misdemeanor Battery," uncharged, but the cops are characterizing it that way anyway. But since their is no court case, Zeke cant defend himself against the characterization.

So bumping into somebody is assault? Happens ten thousand times a day.
Difference is 9999 people dont flop down

Well he didn’t just bump into him like a guy walking down a busy street.

He approached the guy and purposely got in his face trying to intimidate him. Maybe not “assault” but to say it’s like some random bump on the street or in a crowded place is not even close to accurate.

The excuse making for Elliott is hilarious.

Not really a bump though was it? It was deliberate, unwanted contact, that resulted in the victim being pushed down. Although discretion is often applied by the police (as a previous poster mentioned), there is no question this meets the legal definition of assault. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Not predicting it, but It would not be a surprise to see a 1-2 game suspension result from this- especially given history.

Regardless, it's mindbogglingly stupid- especially after serving a 6 game suspension already.
Most folks can manage to attend a concert without ending up in handcuffs.
