Steelers Cowboys Game Dec 7th 2008

The only thing Romo is guilty of is not having won a playoff game or a Super Bowl in the first two years he has started. So lets hang him. Lets go ahead and hang other losers like P Manning, Aikman, Brees, Cutler, Fouts, Griese, E Manning, Moon, Namath, Palmer, Simms, Tarkenton, Theismann, and Young.

How many HOFers, solid starters, and eventual Hall of Famers are guilty of the same?

Not implying you want him ran out of town like some do around here, but I dont know why you want to compare him to Hall of Fame QBs whose careers are complete to a guy who has been starting two whole years.

I don't pretend to know the future with Romo, but my point is we are eons better with him and can actually put playoffs and Super Bowl in our vocabulary with Romo at QB whereas that would have been an impossibility with those dirt bags I mentioned earlier.

When Romo wins in Dec. and Jan. the stats will then become relavent and the doubters will be silenced.

I'm sorry, Romo had open receivers and the line played as well as you could expect against maybe the best pass rush in the league. The D did their job. Romo screwed the pooch against the Steelers. And I'm a full on Romo supporter, but you can't deny reality. Romo plays even mediocre that game, we win comfortably.

Wasn't the wind out of control that day though?

Have any of you guys every played football in windy conditions before?

Give me snow and rain all day over wind. Thats the toughest stuff to play in.

Romo blew it though. No excuses.

But without Romo we have no success so every day you wake up you should be happy we have a bigtime QB because there is only about 8 in the entire world.

"But .. but .. Newman gave up that long pass to Holmes, which turned the game around!"

This loss was totally on the offense.

that game was about field position.

newman gave it up.

and with that punter it was the beginning of the end.

I disagree, gripping a frozen or soaking wet football is a lot harder than dealing with swirling winds in Buffalo.

I'll give them a few more reasons to be thankful for Tony Romo. Phony Banks, Randall Runningman, Anthony Wrong, Sad Hutchinson, A 3rd Basemen, Vinny Intercpti, QuinTHCy Carter, Ryan freakin' Leaf, Clint Stoner, and Drew Statue.

That game ended the season in my opinion. Still bothers me to even think about it. Can't wait for the new season to start.

Pittsburgh didn't even score on that drive. What led to their first TD was a long punt return.
:bang2: ya know between some of the poor play and what not we had some bad luck last season. that freak play you mentioned, the injuries, the fact that it seemed like every opposing qb was smart and took the sack instead of rushing a throw(hence us leading in sacks and probably having the least amount of picks), an overrated OC, a terrible HC, etc.

Our defense only performs on first and second down. 3rd and 12 gets routinely converted on us. But I guess Red is the only one that needs to make adjustments.

Oh, please. The Steelers didn't score after the long pass. We had the ball and had a 13-3 lead AFTER that drive.

Then the offense wilted, and the Steelers got a long punt return to set up a field goal to cut it to 13-6. Again, the offense did nothing, and Henry and Hamlin gave up big plays on the next drive as the Steelers tied it. The offense committed a turnover that was returned for a touchdown, then the offense drove a whole 10 yards in five plays before turning the ball over on downs at the end.

The play against Newman was practically irrelevant. There were about a dozen other plays in the fourth quarter alone that had a bigger impact on the outcome.

We were eighth-best in the NFL at stopping third downs.

Did not know that. Did not appear that way by any stretch of the imagination. Where do you get all these rockin statistics from?

I don't think FACTS mean much to him. In another thread, he said RW11 wasn't even the best WR on our team. I asked him who was and I'm still waiting for my answer..

Because he's not. Jason Witten is, but for the purposes of protocol and following the threads instructions, I didn't want to create another RW debate in that thread. Because the thread meant best WR, not pass-catcher. I was merely making an equally as inflamtory statement as the idiot that said he was the best in the division.

But you stand by a guy that grabbed 10 balls for 189 yards and 1 TD in 10 games. I'm putting my money on an UDFA from Monmouth, whom was statistically was better than Roy last year - and judging from Romo hyping him up and our organization putting a lot of stock in him, we just may have something special with him. So I'll raise you one smarmy smiley.:rolleyes:

Why does he have to be a IDIOT dude? Relax!! You're right Witten isn't a WR, he's a TE so what are you talking about. You know what, nevermind. I see what I'm working with here.. Unbelievable!!!!

Jason Witten is a tightend not a wide receiver.
