Ivan Drago - "If he dies, he dies"

I didn't want to create another RW debate in that thread. Because the thread meant best WR, not pass-catcher. How can you quote someone, and not read what they said.

Maaaaan he just says anything. Go to the "Best WR IN THE NFC EAST"
thread and read how he justifies MA as being the best WR on the team. Very entertaining!!!!:D

Remember the day when Apollo tried to tell yall about Miles Austin. He is going to have a breakout season, and Roy is going to cotinue to tread in mediocrity. All the while, getting paid like he's THE BEST WR in football.

He showed nothing, absolutely nothing last year. I take that back, he caught a fade over a tiny corner and made a one handed catch against the Giants. But other than that, he showed absolutely nothing to suggest he was worth the price.

But I'm getting laughed at, because I think the guy who has been steadily improving every year is going to do better than the guy that has seemed to hit a wall of complacence.

Miles Austin will be more productive and draw more attention from coordinators next year than Roy will. Roy may have better stats from more balls being thrown his way next year, I'm not going to hold my breath on that - but Austin will have more of an impact. You heard it here first, wait no - you heard it from Tony Romo after camp last year when he talked about a guy that was going to breakout.

Watch that Green Bay game. Then laugh at me for thinking Miles will be better than Roy.

I can show you plenty of RW11 highlights, not just 1 game. Infact, they're in the NFC BEST WR thread. Look, I like MA alot and think he's gonna be damn good this year but to say he's the best WR on our team is just flatout ridiculous....

Romo rarely threw to Roy and trust me he was open more often than not. Roy not meeting expectations last year has more to do with Romo not throwing to him than anything else. I also think Miles is capable of having a breakout year also. their's 2 things that concern me with him right now.

#1 his hands are average at best

#2 can he stay healthy?

It's also extremely difficult to switch teams in the middle of the year at the WR position and Romo was hurt those 3 games when RW11 came. Learning a new O on the fly, terminilogy, and just being in a unfamiliar place plays a huge part in RW11 production last year. Not to mention having to force feed TO every other pass play. RW11 can't be judged fairly on last years performance...

which was what I was trying to say with the Romo comment. when he was thrown to he caught basically everything thrown his way. problem was he was rarely thrown to by any of our qbs last season.

Probably because Roy was getting so much separation. Can't throw to a guy thats getting blanketed.

you can to a guy who has the size and hands that Roy has. hall of fame wr Michael Irvin wasn't known for getting a whole lot of seperation either. Romo didn't trust him last year cause he didn't know him good enough yet amongst other things. you will be Ivan Dragowned again next season when Roy is ballin.

Michael Irvin and Roy WillIeverreachmypotential should never be mentioned in the same breath.

I disagree, gripping a frozen or soaking wet football is a lot harder than dealing with swirling winds in Buffalo.

I'll give them a few more reasons to be thankful for Tony Romo. Phony Banks, Randall Runningman, Anthony Wrong, Sad Hutchinson, A 3rd Basemen, Vinny Intercpti, QuinTHCy Carter, Ryan freakin' Leaf, Clint Stoner, and Drew Statue.

We showed no pride in that Eagles game.:hammer:

that part in the 3rd QTR when Romo and Barber fumble and the fumbles are turned for TDs on back-to-back drives, THEN next drive Romo fumbles again....that's when I turned off the TV.

Oh, please. The Steelers didn't score after the long pass. We had the ball and had a 13-3 lead AFTER that drive.

Then the offense wilted, and the Steelers got a long punt return to set up a field goal to cut it to 13-6. Again, the offense did nothing, and Henry and Hamlin gave up big plays on the next drive as the Steelers tied it. The offense committed a turnover that was returned for a touchdown, then the offense drove a whole 10 yards in five plays before turning the ball over on downs at the end.

The play against Newman was practically irrelevant. There were about a dozen other plays in the fourth quarter alone that had a bigger impact on the outcome.

that was a field position game. that newman play lost it. just because they didn't score...they gave the dallas offense at the 1yd line. and the rest of the game was played on the cowboys side.

steelers don't convert that 3rd down, dallas keeps the momentum and perhaps wins the game.

once dallas lost field position, it was over. that game required the defense to play lights out all game, but it couldn't.

the offense wasn't going to be able to drive against the pitt def. and the special teams wasn't up-to-par.
