The coward Cowher is whining about the officials- those must not have been the same refs from their "win" in Detroit in February.

Why should a timeout not be given to a team that calls it prior to a play? Doesn't matter if it's 10 seconds, or a tenth of a second, as long as it's before the play, you get the timeout. Seems pretty simple to me. Nothing wrong with the rules here. What's the issue?

Nothing wrong with them giving it...I just think it is really bush league to wait until the last second to ask for it.

No kidding. It was a penalty. I saw the receiver flinch before they snapped the ball. Easy call, correct call. Maybe Cowher needs to stop whining about the call and explain to his receiver that he didn't need to flinch because all they were doing was spiking the ball. He came across poorly with his post game comments about that call.
