I find Michael Vick to be very fine entertainment, and not worth the extreme hate that some Cowboys fans pile on him.

If Dallas can't make it the SB, that's the team I prefer to see in. Purely for that 'Vick entertainment' aspect.

On the whole, I fear Atlanta less than Carolina, hate them less than Philly, and they don't bore me as much as Seattle....the most boring 'high-powered' offense in my memory.

Hall gives up a TD.

And Vintage's tired act of being the crusader that keeps all of us raging homers in check is incredibly old.

I never even brought up Newman UNTIL summer referred to him the second time. I was merely commenting on Summer's post that Hall isn't rare by saying Hall is playing damn well this season.

Then true to form, saying anything Pro-DeAngelo or any other CB is taken as a knock on Newman...

Which I find hilarious.

It's not just this thread, dude. It's everything you post. Ever.

My God, you're annoying.

Why do you assume he is hating on the Falcons? I took his post as concern for an eventual playoff machup for the cowboys.

What EXTREME hate have you seen posted here? I've never seen any. I've seen people poke fun at him...and its deserved. Herpes happen when you don't wrap it guys. I too find Vick to be very entertaining, but because the Falcons are in the NFC, and the Steelers are not, I hope they lose as well.

You call it "fun", I call it hate and envy. The NFL has never had a quarterback like Vick and for some it's just an excuse to rain down venom at any opportunity.

Anyway, we should get back to the game, which the Steelers now have a 3 point lead. It's been very entertaining.

David.

TNew is a better CB. He deserved to be in the Pro Bowl last year and Hall was selected instead. Because gomers think that INTS is all about what a CB is. Newman not allowing a TD and league leading pass completion % is what a CB is all about. GO around the league and ask the coaches who you would rather have and I will bet 90% of them will say Tnew.

you hear the commentators in the game, Jim Mora said that DeAngelo Hall was "rare"

yeah right

been pretty "rare" that he's had good coverage on any Steeler WR's today...maybe thats what he meant

I caught you calling AH a 'dynamic' player the other day.

Keep those annoying opinions to YOURSELF, please. :)

He has been playing very well this year.

not really, everytime I watch them he is giving up compeltions...maybe Adam will come along and post the numbers, but other than some deflected passes for picks he hasnt done alot

and he is an absolutely atrocious tackler

And Roy.

I guess my hate only concerns Newman and Ware. Odd. Because I did buy a Ware jersey the other day (the throwback jerseys are pretty sweet).

Yeah, I saw you included Roy....to me he is our only consistently 'dynamic' defensive player. As Bill says, AH is 'a ball hawk kind of kid", but he's got to hang onto a few more of them, imo.

I have no problems with Newman's int. numbers tho, and never will. As long as he takes on the lion's share of coverage of the opponents most elite receiver, I'm more than happy he 'just' shuts them down.

Anyone who rolls around with this...
When asked who was the best CB in football...

Eric Edholm:...I would give the slightest edge to Champ because of his experience and run supporting skills, but Hall might be a slightly better playmaker and threat to take one back all the way (of course, we saw Bailey go 100 yards vs. NE in the playoffs). This is almost impossible to answer. I can say this: they are way ahead of any other corners right now according to scouts I talk to.
...as his/her sig is just trying to be an annoyance. Please, Vintage, keep us all in check with your incredibly unbiased view of everything non-Cowboys. Please.

I mean, Dr. Z graded TNew as the best cover corner in football last year, but what does that matter? Eric Edholm disagrees!

Perhaps eman, you can tell me who I can and cannot compliment on the team, just so I know....

As for my sig, I saw it on another board, and merely used it because its somewhat funny. And it is. People are all up in arms over a comment made by someone from PFW. As if PFW is the "end all" of football. And yet, people are incensed over it.

Yet, Dr.Z claims something, and its gospel.

The reality of it is, its irrelevant who says what. Its hard to guarge corners and compare them. Why? Because each defense, each designed play, each role, each play's pass rush affect a CB and their stats. Furthermore, each offense, each QB, each pass is different when different CBs face them.

So the mass media thinks Hall is a top 2 CB?

I fail to see any reason to get upset over it. Its their opinion. Hence, my sig.

I agree wholeheartedly. As long as they give us a chance to win games.....thats all that matters.

I read his signature as sarcasm, not agreement.

But irony rarely goes over big here, that's true.

which isn't true

btw, Vick is rare too :)
