I find it a little odd that a governor is announcing the postponement.... isn't that more like a Roger Goodell kinda task? I mean, the stadium itself apparently is owned by the county, so where in the mix is the governor the point person?

But, whatever.

I assume they are issuing a state of emergency which is why the gov announced it.

What’s the reason for moving the game? Obviously the weather. But is it for the safety of the fans? Safety for players getting to the game? Safety during the game? Have they said anything
The implication is that they could not get enough people to shovel snow.

Anyone if the Steelers actually went to Buffalo?

Would suck for their guys to have to sit in a hotel for two extra days while Bills players are at home.

2 to 3 feet of snow and high winds. I heard you would not be able to even watch it on TV because of blizzard conditions. Smart move.

What's going to be interesting to see if the winners of PIT-BUF and PHL-TB games will have their divisional round games on Sunday, and which one of the NFC divisional round games will be played on next Saturday...will depend the outcomes GB-DAL and LAR-DET.

The safety of the fans...especially related to the travel to and from the stadium. A bunch of car accidents, a few deaths, because 70,000 people went to an NFL game is indeed irresponsible for a governor. At some point, we need sanity over entertain and money.

Governor Hochul also announced that for safety reasons there will be no tackling and flag football will be played instead. NFL boss Goodell agreed saying “this is where the NFL is headed as you can see by all of our promotional activities. We expect a gender equal league by 2035”.
