Im sure the Bills fans would've shown up just as they always have
....which is why they should have indeed postponed it. Sometimes you have to protect people from themselves, not worth risking 70,000+ lives (many of them kids) traveling in a blizzard to and from the stadium. A few bad accidents and it becomes a real bad look for the governor and the NFL both.

The whole HighMark parking area and roads is insane. New stadium construction is ongoing right beside the current site. On a perfect day traffic is a total nightmare so this is a good logistical decision. I was at the Cowboys Bills game and egress from parking meant not moving for over an hour just in rain. Can’t fathom how insane this would be in a blizzard.

Buffalo NWS says 5 to 9 inches of new snow on Sunday with a high of 21 and a low of 12.

Many, many games have been played in those conditions.

I don’t think it’s about the game itself. I think this has more to do with emergency services in the event of an emergency.

I am willing to bet they’re the ones doing the consulting on what the best course of action is and advising the NFL and the Gov.

Yeah, lots of dictators claimed they were just protecting the people from themselves.
You know, since the ruling class is so much smarter then the dumb peons.
Its called free will and free choice; and you accept the risks of both.
But the nanny state idiots think they know so much better.

Now that being said there is a line of how bad it is that you have to draw and I am willing to say in this case it probably was the right call.
Probably

So now the first game on Sunday is the Packers victory over the Cowboys.

Just mildly interested in the AFC games anyway. Those games have zero to do with the Cowboys. Honestly, could care less where or when they play and in what conditions.

What’s the reason for moving the game? Obviously the weather. But is it for the safety of the fans? Safety for players getting to the game? Safety during the game? Have they said anything

Fan safety. Transportation is dangerous in 3 feet of snow.

47 people died last year during a Buffalo blizzard. They don’t want it to happen again.

It snowed 5.2 inches (which is like 8 inches in guy measurement) in Boise on Tuesday night. You know what I did? I woke up and drove to work.

I guess I should have called my Governor. :muttley:
