....comes to show. Society during Ice Bowl. We're tenacious individuals.

This snowflake generation, couldn't hold their cup of Joe.

47 people died in buffalo last year in a blizzard that wasn’t as severe as this one

"Protect people from themselves"

Scary ideology
Scary, but necessary sometimes... I believe this is one of those times. Not worth having that many people on unsafe roads to go to a football game, especially when they can simply move the game to a different time. Wiser heads prevailed, thank goodness.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Buffalo and surrounding counties, including Orchard Park in Erie County, the site of the stadium. More than a foot of snow -- and as much as 3 feet -- is expected in the Buffalo area, according to AccuWeather, with winds potentially as high as 65 mph. A travel ban will be put in place at 9 p.m. Saturday.

I completely get that "football in the cold" is a tradition, especially back east.

But we have technology now. Every new stadium should have a retractable roof. I'm sorry, but people and players shouldn't have to play in disastrous weather. The option to open/close the roof allows for you to have that great outside experience but also protect late-season games in bad weather.

I loved my years in Arizona. Early games in Phoenix, you knew you would be in air conditioning. The rest of the year, perfect conditions.

Early games at Arizona State? You'd be melting. Paramedics are routinely taking people, especially drunk people, out of the stands.

Between rules changes, questionable refereeing, games on streaming channels, weak moves like this…. The NFL product is in decline, if it wasn’t for fantasy football I would not really pay attention beyond the Boys.

You folks who live up North can correct me if I'm wrong, but I've travelled up there a lot during this time of year and rented cars, and seems like as long as you live in a big city you're okay unless it's some type of historical weather condition.

I saw Chicago clear up 10 inches of snow in one night by morning. Amazing how fast they get going.

However, if you live in the rural areas outside the city, hopefully if you are driving to the game you live close to the federal highways because they will usually take care of those just as fast too.

47 people died last year in Buffalo in a blizzard and everyone blamed the government for it.

Now the government steps in and merely postpones a sporting event so people don’t die again, and people are complaining about that.

Which is better? 47 more deaths? Or a postponed sporting event?

My wife grew up in NY, both upstate and NYC, and she blamed the people. She saw the stories. Was asking why is someone driving to get groceries in that weather? The locals know to pack up beforehand and not leave.

People who drive for a living must watch the local weather and hope their bosses are also understanding. Because the conditions change fast.

You don't want to be driving in the blizzard at midnight if it strikes, but you're fine leaving the hotel afterwards in morning after cleanup crews hit the highway, just have to drive slower.

This makes sense.

What’s the reason for moving the game? Obviously the weather. But is it for the safety of the fans? Safety for players getting to the game? Safety during the game? Have they said anything

10 inches is nothing. They are getting 3 feet. You also have to keep in probably 30-40% of the people at the game will be traveling I90 at same time. Thats probably why they decided to move it. I90 will be extremely dangerous

You would be very shocked to know that a ton of Canadians make the trip across the border to watch them..we face the same obstacles but it doesn't stop the crazies from doing it

Yeah... like I put in first post.... Understandable if it's a historical weather condition. I don't know enough about those up north. Earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes are my specialty. ;)

This is just yet another mark against the NFL. Now we’re going to start postponing games because of some mild adverse winter weather. Absolutely ridiculous. Some of my best memories regarding football growing up were playing in some crazy weather. And watching football being played in some crazy weather. It’s part of the game. It always has been. Now they’re taking it away. You can rest assured if they get away with postponing this coming game it will be like this all the time. It’ll become like baseball. A little rain, a little sleet, snow or temperature is below 15° or something like that and they’ll postpone the game. Nonsense.
