You know exactly what Dak is asking for? Even if you do, you'd then need to go and see what Romo's camp was asking for because it was more than he actually got.

We can ballpark it. The salary cap is around $200m next year. Dak wants 30 to 35m. That's in the 15 to 18% range. Is that the same as what Romo got?

Bottom line is that Jerry Jones did not want Dak Prescott. Jerry Jones was building this team for Tony Romo. Jerry Jones does not believe in Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott messed up Jerry Jones Country Club. Dak was not selected to receive Country Club membership like Romo.

Again, here are the facts:
Romo did not play out his rookie deal and actually got paid before he won the starting job. He got an extension to his rookie contract in 2006 2 year deal to 2007 collecting about $27M. Romo made more than Dak in the 4th year of his career by over $1M and he only played as starter 1 season with 0 playoff wins (that was more than 10 years ago).

Stephen A Smith, who I can not stand, is absolutely right.

Well considering one of the biggest knocks on Dak is his inability to win playoff games or take the team deep into the playoffs, then in that regard in 4 years Daks already accomplished half of what Romo did his entire career.
I always hoped Romo and the team would have gotten farther than they did, I was a little biased (him being part Mexican and all) unfortunately it wasn’t in the cards for them :(
