Why are you paying any attention to this Stephen A. troll?
Lay off the stuff. Now we all know good and flipping well unless you know that people aren't readily saying that about Romo. If you even bothered watching the clip you'd get what the person was saying also. People always commenting and not reading/watching what they commenting on first smh.lol Romo is mexican
Romo received what was, and still is, the richest contract in Dallas Cowboys team historyI think they need to sign Dak, but what he is saying is nonsense.
Romo didn't demand ridiculous money like Dak is. Just because Dak has played well etc, doesn't mean you have to make him the highest-paid QB in the league.
Dak is overplaying his hand in my opinion.
Lol. Because he's so captivating. Why are you paying any attention to this Stephen A. troll?
Lol. Because he's so captivating.
Whos a top 5 qb? Romo was never top 5 lol.Why would you treat a top 5 QB the same as an average QB?
Romo received what was, and still is, the richest contract in Dallas Cowboys team history
His 2013 contract was 108m total and contained the most guaranteed money in NFL history
Neither Zeke nor D-Law signed a bigger deal and that was 7 years ago!
Rodgers deal, signed the same year (2013), was for 110m, just 2m across the entirety of his deal
The story that Tony was some “aww shucks, pay my o-line, I would play for free because I just want to win”, kinda guy is totally bogus
I was a huge Tony Romo fan. I still am. I love me some Romo, but if you’re going to try to use him against Dak in some way, at least get the facts straight.
For the sake of comparison
- In 2016, Romo accounted for 14% of the Cowboys salary cap
- 2020 cap is projected to be 200m
- Let’s say Dak gets 35m, that’s 17%
- There won’t be a 35m hit though. QB deals are always structured with huge singing bonuses that spread the impact across the contract
- Russell Wilson, 35m - last year, the first year of his new deal, he only counted 26m against the cap
- A similarly structured contract for Dak would make him account for 13% of the cap, less than Romo did in 2016
Now that is plausible scenario...and I wouldn't blame Jerry and Stephen if they shared this sentiment.Jerry learned a lesson from the Romo deal.
Put down the Hennessy. Romo was top 3 at one point even while being handcuffed by Garrett.Whos a top 5 qb? Romo was never top 5 lol.
TOP 3!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Put the heroin down. Romo was never top 3 barely cracked top 10.Put down the Hennessy. Romo was top 3 at one point even while being handcuffed by Garrett.
You're quick to forget how good he was. You're cray crayTOP 3!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Put the heroin down. Romo was never top 3 barely cracked top 10.
with SA it's his best card , pretty sad in this day and age, but it sells air time..........when all else fails play the race card.
Heck, i remember they made Romo play the ENTIRE preseason one year to "prove himself". Don't think Dak has had to do that yet.
I think it's going to be $34His agent is being ridiculous. I don’t blame the Jones’s at all if his demands are in the $35 million per year area as reported. I wouldn’t sign him for that either.
Since you posted this...Stephen A Smith (again, who I do not like) is stating the truth. It is bad optics. Its one of the lowest things that can be done but its interjected to derail a debate or silence an opinion they don't approve of. Its lazy at best or sinister at worst
I was just thinking about Marino. Yeah, he went to the SB as a rookie, lost, never came close to getting back. He's considered an all time great and I don't disagree. People say, "He needed more help. " But Romo gets no credit, when the Cowboys lose, "Romo choked!" He didn't need help? Flacco's not that good to me, Eli neither...but they had great defense. Romo led GW drives with the best of them...it takes a TEAM! And good coaching, which we didn't have and I believe was why we can't win.Dan Marino had an 8-10 playoff record. His playoff teams rushed for an average of 53 yards per game, while the defense surrendered an average of 34.5 points per game.
Ergo, Dan Marino didn't have much playoff success or deep playoff runs too...........and is clearly not top 5 either
