Since they're just guessing as we are, Meh.
Those are your thoughts on the matter. That is fine. My interest is more on the thoughts of someone, who is obviously and defiantly adamant Dak Prescott's extension with Dallas will never happen.

Of course, it is a definite possibility Prescott will not be extended. The non-extension would also be something atypical of Jerry Jones the GM at his franchise quarterback position.

It is for this reason I personally wish Jones would man up and publicly and unquestionably state he has ended negotiations with Prescott. Doing so would not entirely eliminate the possibility of a deal being done between the two if Prescott switched gears and agreed to an unfavorable compromise of his liking. However, it would shine a fresher spotlight on the entire negotiating/spectator nonsense.

Good interview but Jerry stumbled over something but ignored it. How long do you keep doing the samething with Dak before you figure out you will continue to get the same results? Maybe that explains the lack of an extension now.

well you cant get any opinion on why it took so long to sign Lamb by watching games.

Now if you dont care why it took so long, then ok. But that was clearly a very big topic in these forums.
I'm betting I don't have to listen to those two blowhards for over an hour talk and I bet I get the bullet points you know the pieces that matter not only from the fan base or when they break it down into shorter more precise takes from the interview then I'm not wasting my time I'll hear all the bullet points trust me I'm not listening to that whole entire interview because I don't care about rhetoric hyperbole and those two blowhards talking at each other...

Thats fine if that is how you feel. BUT, expecting to get the bullet points form people in here that will take what is said and twist it around or misinterpret it is a sad way to get information.

But, it is the current way we get info. Why watch the actual news when we can watch a 10 second clip on facebook?

Jerry made it damn clear they are planning on extending Dak. No need to speculate, its right there coming out of the man's mouth. No need to speculate. no need for Jerry to "Man up," he said what he said

Im very confused about your comments.

This interview is not "Opinions." Now if I was being interviewed, than yes, I could se eyour point. But when Jerry is asked why they didnt go after Derrick Henry, when he answers, that is not his opinion on why the Cowboys didnt go after Henry, this is factually why they didnt go after Henry.

When he is asked why they didnt sign Lamb sooner since it was very clear about what the numbers were going to eventually be, Jerry answers with FACTS on why it took as long as it did, not opinions.

By the way, I loved his answer about not getting any bonus points if Lamb was signed sooner vs later.
his opinion was he thinks the team is better than last year that's an opinion. And by the way I'll hear these bullet points and here it is I don't even have to listen to this interview and I'm hearing you tell me all the important things like 5 minutes of one hour of an interview which also by the way I would not have gone after a 32 year old running back that wanted $8 million either I think he's overrated I think he's about to go off the Cliff what happened to don't pay older running backs to now everybody wanted an older running back... If you're gonna bring in an older running back you need to pay them very little like we're doing with cooks and zeke and do a running back by committee I don't need to know what Jerry thought of the reason he didn't go after him I also would not have put him on my team after this hypocritical board told us you should never pay a running back their second contract which by the way San Francisco just did way too much money for Christian McCaffrey but they said you should just keep trading them out every four years and don't worry about it but now when it comes to Derrick Henry he's no longer in the same category of older and you shouldn't pay... Now maybe we should have drafted one around the third round but I also did not want Derrick Henry whether he's good or not this year this is usually a losing proposition when you're bringing in a guy of his age his mileage and him changing teams now and changing divisions we don't know how he's gonna end up running against this division...

So yes I formed my own opinion about Derrick Henry a long time ago and then you mentioned CD lamb I didn't need to know why both sides didn't come to an agreement because they both had things they wanted to get resolved before they signed which by the way CD lamb admitted he was about to cave on the 1st contract that was offered right before this last one he literally said he missed the team he was about to come back so Jerry would have held out another day or two it's possible CD lamb would assign for the contract that was offered to him before this one.. But we all knew one thing he was coming back he was gonna play this year new contract old contract he was gonna be on this team just like Prescott's on this team and that's all I care about is 2024//

so why is it confusing to you that I do make up my own mind on things...

Next.

'Planning' does not equal 'done'.

yes it's been clear all along that Jerry's going to want to extend Prescott,

but is Prescott going to do it when Jerry wants it and for what Jerry wants ? So no matter what was said in this interview doesn't gonna change a single thing....

that's all we need to know is that it might get done but it might not get done until between now and March of next year,
how it gets done?, I don't know,
but yes of course Jerry wants him here that doesn't mean he's signing before the season and just because his agent says they wouldn't negotiate during the season doesn't mean they won't,
I think it can be done now like before sunday, it can be done in the middle of the season, it can be done before March, it could be done in a way that Prescott wants to show Jerry and the rest of the world how other teams are going to wine and dine him, and offer him $60 million or somewhere close to it ,and he's going to tell Jerry if you really want me you need to match this offer, you show me you want me you show the world how i was wanted somewhere else and then i chose to back for the fan base on my own terms.

~listening to the interview~

14:35 mark (approximately). Basically, Stephen A. Smith asks Jerry Jones whether Dak Prescott has performed better with direct tutelage from Mike McCarthy than from Kellen Moore. Jones confirmed he thought so.

Perhaps Jones is right. Perhaps Jones would have come to that same conclusion earlier IF Moore had no longer been on staff at the time he hired McCarthy. Mad Genius stuff.

~back to listening~

As of today who’s been more right? Them or me?
Not the point I was making.

You arent connected.

Stop pretending you are. You discredit anyone or anything saying anything different then you. Like you are some football guru or are plugged in.

You get the same info we do. We just choose to read all of it and not ignore the ones that say different. Or that we dont like.

You chose to believe whatever you are fed by these “insiders”.

You don’t have to have connections to read the room on things.

But hey, believe everything you're told. It’s your right.

I don’t believe everything I’m told.

I also don’t blatantly ignore multiple reports to pick out one that goes with what I want and spew it as fact. As if I’m part of the negotiating team.

He’s flaming out as he knows he’s wrong and Dak is getting extended.
