I don’t believe everything I’m told.

I also don’t blatantly ignore multiple reports to pick out one that goes with what I want and spew it as fact. As if I’m part of the negotiating team.
He’s flaming out as he knows he’s wrong and Dak is getting extended.
Look, Rocky is with ya, bro.

You know you’re on the right side lolololol

Dak fans being Dak fans.

You talk about Dak more than anyone.

I am just talking about reports and your lack of understanding of unbiased viewing of those reports.

100 reports saying one thing. You will find the one report that doesn't.

That is what I am talking about. Not Dak.

I don’t see you going to Dak fans whining that they only believe the “Dak will be signed tomorrow” articles and ignoring the ones that say he won’t.

Why’s that?

his opinion was he thinks the team is better than last year that's an opinion. And by the way I'll hear these bullet points and here it is I don't even have to listen to this interview and I'm hearing you tell me all the important things like 5 minutes of one hour of an interview

so why is it confusing to you that I do make up my own mind on things...

Next.
His opinion matters more than our opinion because it gives you insight into why they did and do what they do.
I havent told you anything, other than he answered this question or that question. Im not trying to paraphrase what he said, because if you are interested in what HE ACTUALLY said, you should listen to the interview and not listen to some schmuck in here interpreting what he said.

And Ill repeat, you can do whatever the heck you want, but you cant tell me why the Cowboys did what they did by listening to anyone post anything on these forums. Only listening to the actual person tell you why he did what he did will work.

Because they are seeing the numerous reports on the same thing.

You are calling out the outlier saying its not close.

Like I said this is like watching a political debate his opinion is an opinion and it could be all smoke and mirrors he could be saying the opposite of what he's thinking just for the sake of the interview you don't understand where I'm coming from and I don't care I prefer to watch football than discuss contracts and discuss what are delusional owners slash GM says to like one of the most cowboy fan hate groups on TV and that would be ESPN led by stephen A smith..

I just don't feel like taking the time to listen to it cause to me it's all rhetoric and hyperbole and you say it's not, and I say it is no matter what you hear out of Jerry's mouth doesn't mean it's the truth it's what he felt like saying today... and like i said i don't mind hearing the bullet points from others.

I would love to come on here and debate the game, we will watch game one, and then have a real debate not predictions not what we think might happen, we will have an actual game to discuss thank goodness it's finally here!!!

'Planning' does not equal 'done'.
really?? I thought it meant they had him locked up and Jerry was waiting until 10 minutes before tonight's kickoff so he could steal all the thunder on opening night?

What it means, is all the speculation in hear that the Cowboys were just gonna let Dak walk is just garbage.

Personally, my opinion is that Dak Prescott's departure has been garbage before any speculation began. My thoughts have been consistent on the matter.

Jerry Jones' GM history has always suggested he will extend Prescott. Certainly, contractual terms matter. However, I do not believe contractual terms matter more to Jones than his personal football assessment.

Perhaps it would mean more to another general manager but not Jones in my opinion. Jones signs and retains players he wants. Nothing has occurred--including any facial or verbal cues he demonstrated during and after the Green Bay loss--that has convinced me his original, two-month assessment of Prescott in 2016 has diminished one iota.

Only time will establish how everything will play out beyond question.

There's no outlier at all since the first game is tonight, and there's no Dak deal.
Week 1 doesn't start for the Cowboys until Sunday. Jerry was busy with this interview. Priorities friend. Keeping the media talking is Jerrys love.

Guy said there was no urgency for CeeDee and signed him a week later. They probably had a deal and held onto it to drum up clicks. Jerry is a marketing guy first. Football owner is 10th on the list.

Everybody will get a prediction wrong eventually. You can't disagree that he's been correct on calling this over even guys like Bob Sturm. Don't fall for the Genetic and Appeal to Authority Fallacies.
There is a difference between a prediction and stating a future event is already a fact. Do not fall for opinion-made-fact doctrine.

Unless Bob Sturm, Clearance Hill, or Diana Russini says it, right?

I don’t see you saying this to the Dak fans that’s are currently preaching their tweets like the gospel in this and other threads.

That is just a ridiculous take. So you think doing that hr interview is taking away from getting a Dak deal done? Do you think Jerry is actually sitting down with paper and pencil and working out the details of a Dak deal? Do think all other GMs are in the office by 5 am watching tape and working on the salary cap 18 hrs a day? No lunch, eat dinner in the office, and just work, work, work ??? You think Jerry actually has to do anything to keep the Cowboys in the news?

There was clearly no urgency to get the Lamb deal done. If there was, he would have been signed before training camp opened. The fact the deal was made a week later didnt alter what he said. And as he said in the interview, did doing the deal later in someway hurt them?

1. For an entire week, I posted sarcastic images based on Bob Sturm's initial prediction. One day after the other. Either you never paid any attention to them--which is certainly your prerogative--or never had a clue I was making fun of someone predicting something only Jerry Jones or Dak Prescott (and his agent) knows.

2. It is pretty darn hilarious how you, in particular, say I do not critique Dak fans' postings. It is funny because your exact opposite on this site says I do not critique non-Dak fans' postings. Opposite sides. Same coin. Pure CowboysZone.

~back to listening to the video/stupid work interruption~

33:00 mark approximately. Essentially, Smith asks Jones the question of what Jones' thought of his mentality concerning how much time he had left [managing the team]. Jones does not directly answer the question, of course, but his 'Mr. Chambers' story is Classic Jones.

Jones refers back to his hospital stay of a decade ago, when a physician told him he had the 'brain of a 30-year old'. What the <expletive> does that have to do with the question in the here-and-now? Well. It is Jones' way of saying that 'medical' opinion holds true today. So, his mental competence will determine just how long he will keep doing. Age? Not so much--which is what I have also been saying for the last 15 or so years now.
