I'm not here to defend these guys, but I'm not on board with the argument being presented. I mean I'll defend Jerry on him being allowed to mix up who Chris Godwin is during an interview. I've made similar blunders 1000 times.

What I can't defend is the commitment to average. Jerrys latest interview was bad....really bad. He basically said a lot of the quite parts out loud that he wasn't supposed to say. It seems pretty obvious that the best case scenario for the Jones family isn't a championship, it's staying relevant for as long as possible. That is where fans need to be critical of Jerry/Stephen. I get the NFL is a business. I get there are factors that go into running an football team that fans dont even consider, but any owner whos top priority isn't winning a championship shouldn't be defended.

My issues with Jerry revolve more around him not being embarrassed because of how beautiful the stadium is. The guy gets a lot right, but misses on what the top goal actually is.
They made plenty of mistakes that actually mattered but you choose to post a childish rant about a non-issue.

You could post about the Joey Galloway trade but instead you give a PeeWee Herman "I know you are but what am I" type statement that makes little kids laugh but has no bearing on the adults that want to discuss legit issues.

I keep seeing here people defending these 2.

It boggles my mind that 28 years of futility and they still have defenders on this board.

Let me put this into perspective for you.

Jerry Jones. A guy that has been around the league for years, and should know more than any of us do about football and the workings of the league didn't know that Chris Godwin played on offense.

Stephen Jones. The head personnel guy of the Dallas Cowboys doesn't know his own players names.

Now I have been in business a long time and one thing I know is forgetting, mispronouncing, or down right not knowing what position the person you are speaking to or about is, shows a complete lack of passion and shows that you really don't care.

If I were to go to a meeting and mispronounced or spoke to the wrong person, or addressed them by the wrong title. You better believe I am not getting that project, or sale. And probably wont be spoken to again by that company.

These are the faces of the FO of the Dallas Cowboys. The premier sports franchise in all of sports.

How can you honestly sit there and think that these morons actually want to win when they cant even get the simplest of things right. Like names and positions. Its crazy.
This looks like a braintrust full of fresh ideas and innovations. Those Super Bowl trophies are coming, just you wait and see. The 30-year plan is almost finished.

It is amazing after 28 years anyone would listen to this owner. Completely accountable for the results this franchise has not achieved. Just fricken retire Jerry.

It’s all about money. They are geniuses at making money and being worth 15 Billion. Winning is what they are doing in their minds . And honestly, besides going after big time free agents and trying to win the SB, they are great at everything.

It's gotta be cool to play high stakes fantasy football, with real players, and make a bunch of money even when you lose. Who wouldn't sign up for that?
