It hasn’t been a good season for Cooks so far, hopefully one of the young receivers takes advantage of the opportunity. This will likely be Cooks last season with the Cowboys. Not sure I see his replacement on the current roster. We’ll probably be in the market for a number two receiver next offseason.
Cooks ypt is 4.8.

Just miserable. Would have been reasonable to cut some of his snaps for Flournoy based on performance alone.

Flournoy is an untested rookie who has never played a down. He may have tons of potential but to think he's going to hit the ground running like 4-5 vet is unreasonable. He was called up from the PS only cuz Cooks injury. Otherwise, he is 5th or 6th on the depth chart.
exactly....it was preseason folks....and there are tons of preseason heros that don't amount to anything.
he may have potential as you said, but if we are looking at him as the saviour of passing game, then we are truly in deep doo doo and in big trouble.

he will make a play or two perhaps, but he will also make a lot of mistakes. there is a reason he was at the bottom of the group as he has tons to learn.

Sometimes, it just takes time for injuries to heal, even though circumstances call for it before it's about to happen. Stephen somehow needs to find it within himself to spend what it takes for the best results to become possible. So far, he's failed miserably to find the boldness to "go all in." If he's ever going to reach that pinnacle, he'd best get busy, before reality gets the best of him. Is he up to the task? It's about time to pray for a miracle. Help is available if he'd only spend what it takes to earn one. Let's wish him well in doing so.

All receivers are unproven and untested until they're not. We won't know what we have in him until he actually plays. I'm not sure others doom and glooming him before we actually see him play is warranted. Maybe he'll break out like Miles Austin. Maybe not. At least it's something DIFFERENT. That's a plus.

And, he's probably been excited for this opportunity. I expect he will be hungry for an opportunity to show what he can do against a top quality team. What a way to make your debut! I'm not going to put a lot of expectations on him, personally, because the Steelers are a very good team and he's a mid round rookie. That said, I'm excited to watch him get this opportunity. I hope he makes the most of it.
