Eh, talk is talk. They have to say this right now...but the results will speak for itself when the time comes. I'm not worried...you could probably go back to before the 2019 season and find quotes of them pumping up Garrett

So Jerral is saying one thing that implies we're drafting a QB, possibly not sticking with Dak long-term, and Stephem says Dak's the man they're committed to long-term.

I guess we'll see who erm, uh, uh, wears the pants.
Actually, I think BOTH statements can be true........but it's as clear as day, they are for Dak and his agent(s).

Nepo Boy cannot evaluate football talent. Never has been able to do it; never will.

It's honestly getting hard to support this team any more but honestly this was ecpected
Why because the owner's son is saying what he's supposed to? Just like his daddy, he's not really saying anything.

Dak would be very smart to be Brady-like now and take a roster friendly extension that will still provide him generational wealth while giving the Cowboys some flexibility to bring in talent needed to make up for his lack of elite play. $50M over two years would be the smart thing to do here. $40M even better, but I digress.

I don't know why he would even say this. He has two years left. Let it play out dummy.
Let it ride....
Dak's salary is for more 2 yrs @ $31,000,000 and $29,000,000 and w/ 2 more voidable years.
If need be, chop off the needed amount from that $31,000,000 salary this year in a bonus form. That gets stretched out over the 4 years left.
But do the Minimal as possible.
This year, throw Dak in the deep end and see if he swims or sinks.
Same time, bring in another QB via draft or free agent / both.
If Dak drowns, put him on the block next year and start eating all that left over money / stupidity puddin that Jerry has been feeding us none stop.

I mean he kinda has to say this but either way, i doubt they move on from him smh
Yeah he does. I realize the Raiders didn't want to spend 41 mil on Carr if he got hurt, but sending him home for the last 2 weeks isn't exactly the best way to get good trade compensation. You always have to sound like you want the player.
