Hate it for the kid, but honestly, Moore is better and should have been ahead of Mo on the depth chart anyway.

Good luck in all your future endeavors young man ......... I see the Browns in his future.

well we have him for one more year. might as well use him and hope he plays his butt off in a contract year. after that just let him go, he doesn't fit this system and what is expected of cbs. hopefully we get a comp pick back. more than that, just use this as a learning lesson going forward.

Feel bad for the young man. Tough week. Hopefully he bounces back.
Not a huge loss if Patmon is as solid as coaches think. Can't afford any more injuries at CB.

Man, that's two draft picks down the tubes. I just love it when Jerry Jones tosses those draft picks like they were bouquets. Between Damarcus Lawrence and Mo Claiborne ... that's almost an entire draft worth of players sitting the pine.

what a tough week for that young man and must be very frustrating for him now that it will be a long time before he get's the opportunity to redeem his reputation.

Redeem? Seems more to me like the key word was "establish". He hasn't established anything in Dallas and chances are that may never happen. I hate that he had to go out like that but I just can't find the space to dwell. Next guy up. Lets get it. That happens to be Sterling Moore who acquitted himself nicely last night. Bring on Patmon as well. Moving on feels so right.

One thing I kept to myself in chat last night was my complete and utter fear that the Saints were going to key on whoever Mo was covering all night. I truly believe they would have exploited that chink in the armor all night long. So, unfortunately for him, he got injured. I wish him a speedy recovery and God speed for whatever his life entails. Fortunately for us, they were left with nothing to exploit when he went down.

He was the 6th pick. Thought it was a horrible pick at the time and the last three years have proved me right. He's done. He's horrible and his style doesn't even fit marinellis typical scheme.

I'm in line with yourself. I think he has missed his window of opportunity, and next move is to consult a good tax lawyer.

Perhaps the Cowboys can get a compensatory 3rd rounder from a future signing of him...knee permitting.

Right because 4 almost equals 7. Oh, and DLaw will be back in 4 weeks.

Nothing to lose by giving the young man a chance to compete for a job next season. Something like this could inspire him to do a little soul searching and a new and improved attitude might come out of that.

Or not. Can't hurt to find out.

I'm a conspiracy type sometimes. I could make a case that this whole thing is goofy. From him not getting disciplined, to him starting, to the video of the play, to the quick JJ response afterwards. It's just weird...

So that means that Claiborne was complicit on ending his year (thus completely affecting his career moving forward) on about as bad of a note as you possibly could by pulling up lame in front of a national crowd?
When really nothing is wrong with him?
You're saying he had to voluntarily do this during the game with cameras on him.

This is the kind of thing that could cost him millions.
Think about that: millions.

And he complied and did it because somebody told him to?

On national television.

Huh. You are a conspiracy type sometimes.

You ever watch that show with Jesse Ventura?

That show was such a hoot.
Totally scamming the uninformed, but at least it was entertaining.

Canceled. Bummer.

I laughed when people said he was faking it.

Yeah...the guy who was so distraught about losing his starting spot that he "stormed out of the facility"....would purposefully lay down and not play on Sunday.

We have some silly fans.

in all honesty, when I looked at Mo face after the injury I saw a player who didn't want this anymore...almost relief on his part. Hopefully he can use this time and find some peace and rebalance himself.

It will probably come down to the cap hit.

I thought most of these contracts up top were almost fully guaranteed. Being that they're smaller now. Maybe not. Maybe some teams have just gone that route.

I felt the same way. I also felt he didnt belong or fit in with our defense anymore. Our defense has turned into a pack of wild dogs while Mo still have that puppy look. I think in a sense he does not get the fact your being paid to peform and showing up on sundays is not good enough. He is riding out his pedigree and draft status. But if we move on from him next year no one will remember what round he was drafted in. He will end up in Oakland, Browns or the Bills stuck on a bad team with a head coach turnover.

Recovery & Prognosis:
Recovering from a torn patellar tendon is difficult and takes time. One of the most important prognostic factors for recovery is the time to surgery, and surgery delayed beyond a few weeks can limit recovery ability. It is known that early mobility after surgery, protected strengthening, and preventing excessive stress on the repair will speed overall recovery. Even with these steps, there is a minimum of 3 months until return of normal daily activities, and 4-6 months until sports should be resumed.

While most people heal completely from a patellar tendon surgery, there can be long-term weakness even with a successful repair.

Looking back on the 2012 draft, there are a lot of misses and some guys still up in the air. Getting even 2-3 seasons out of a draft pick is generally a win. In this case trading up makes it a big loss, but he was a major need at the time and was highly rated.

Missing 6 games from DLaw hardly qualifies as a disaster.
