Ok, but just because you don't like the guy doesn't mean they won't bring the guy back. lol

This team isn't just so deep in talent that they can just let their "Top 6" pick walk without adequate depth replacement. They're going to give him every opportunity to succeed...again

Of course they will.

They gave Matt Johnson how many chances...

They're gonna let him walk cuz he was horrible before the injury and will only be worse now.

What I like about Patmon is that he is such a quick twitch player. He has the best quickness and recovery of all the DB's. IMO, we could use a guy like that. Reminds me of Janoris Jenkins with the Rams, minus the ten cent head.

I really like what little I"ve seen of him, too. And I like what the coaches and teammates say about him. He seems like the kind of guy who can really develop into a player for you, and all he needs is time and snaps. It'd be good to be able to get him active and bring him along during the games so he's available if and when we need him later in the season.

For a while now Dallas just about has done better than anyone at finding really good UDFA's.

Barry Church
Cole Beasley
Davon Coleman
Ronald Leary
Dan Bailey

Those are just a few that they've gotten who really help the team out a lot.

So basically, I have good confidence in them finding good players after the draft. Patmon really impressed me, not only with his terrific play against Miami, but the quickness and recovery ability he showed throughout camp. My favorite thing about him is his demeanor. Really smart kid who has the right attitude. He always had confidence in himself, you could tell.

I was hoping he'd get a chance to play this year and now it looks like he will. If they give him a small role early and not pile too much on him (more as the season goes on), I think he will surprise a lot of people.

He was the 6th pick. Thought it was a horrible pick at the time and the last three years have proved me right. He's done. He's horrible and his style doesn't even fit marinellis typical scheme.

If you were the gm this might matter. Or the owner for that matter.

Honestly, I feel kinda bad for Mo. Say what you will but injuries have certainly hurt his progress, and he struggles with maturity, so I'm sure this is pretty devastating to him.

His deal is fully guaranteed. Costs the same if he is here or not.

If that is the case....maybe they will try and keep the kid.....The kid has 2 major issues,,,slow learner and injury prone....not sure if he has the time or health to develop! Question how does he affect the cap... cut him and save a few dollars or cut him and take the cap hit

I'm a conspiracy type sometimes. I could make a case that this whole thing is goofy. From him not getting disciplined, to him starting, to the video of the play, to the quick JJ response afterwards. It's just weird...

I thought the same thing

If we cut him we have exactly the same cap hit as if we keep him.

No point in not keeping him. He isn't what we hoped but he certainly can be a serviceable player. He's on his 3rd DC - to me, that isn't a good fit for a slow learner

His 2.6m salary is guaranteed for next year. Hopefully he can be back for camp and compete for playing time. At least we know he doesn't warrant a big second contract.

I feel the same way. I was hoping he might redeem himself a little last night. It sucks he didn't get a chance to.

Not good. Not good at all. Man, can't we catch a break on the defensive injuries. I, too, feel sorry for the guy. Here's the chance for someone to make the most of the opportunity.
