Donald, Dix, Pryor, Martin, Manziel (highly doubtful), Dee Ford, are the guys I hope we are targeting. One of them is going to be there for the taking. I will bet on it. Manziel won't make it out of the top 10. Donald probably won't either. I would love Donald. May 8th can't get here soon enough.

I think Donald, Dix, and Manziel will for sure be gone at 16. I would guess Ford, Martin, and Pryor will be there though.

Seattle was the one truly dominant team. You can't minimize what they've accomplished. Amazing defense and can rack up points. They won for a reason, it wasn't a fluke. Neither Brees or Peyton could do anything against that defense. Come on man, Seattle has a good shot at repeating. They're that good, and young and have depth. Combine that with good coaching and leadership. Dallas is nowhere close to competing with that. Dallas finds ways to lose games. Fix the pass rush, another problem will then arise. Kinda like how Dallas fixed the oline and everybody thought our problems were solved and then the entire defense went to ****. By the time Dallas fixes the defensive front seven, romo will be finished and DM past his prime.
Dallas is several years away from being considered legit contenders. Sorry if that kills the optimistic vibe. But that's how I feel about the situation in Dallas. The problems go deeper than just lack of pass rush.

Yes the entire culture of football needs tweaked in Dallas.

That being said, the NFL game is Trench Warfare. Fix the DL and OL then the Player can create his own football culture with help from seasoned proven successful NFL Coaches like Marinelli and Linehan.

Most already put it together that Dallas wouldn't pick Timmy Jernigan/2014s Sharrif Floyd, both are good athletes @ DT who do not fit the scheme.

Nothing was said about DE. They havn't evaluated QBs is a real LMAO comment.

BTW I agree, Seattle = Very Legit SB Champions

"A safety is capable of being a first round pick and being a top half of the first round pick if he’s dominant enough."

D'ja think? Man, I'd like to have two decent Safeties in the starting lineup at some point.

You bet the problems go deeper than the pass rush.

Last season Seattle was only 8th in sacks.

But were 1st in yards per attempt given up.

Seattle won because of their pass defense and then because of their pass rush... And not the other way around.

Only 8 out of 32 is not bad. Seattle was a solid defensive team. They were 7th vs the run 1st vs pass. Offensively they used run to set up their passing game but main thing is they played solid football as a team and did not do things to beat themselfs.

Dallas does need to boost the DL and not just in stopping the pass but in stopping the run to put down and distance in our favor as a defense. It is a lot easier to play defense when you control the opponets down and distance after all it is a no brainer on 2nd and long or 3rd and long what the opposing offense is going to do but when teams are facing 2nd and 4 or 3rd and 2 offense has a great advatage.

It's only 10 days before the draft. We haven't sorted out the QBs yet.

Hey, how did that player get on our board?!

That is what happened with Mo Claiborne. lol @ not sorting out the QB's yet with 10 days until the draft. That makes all the sense in the world.. let me tell ya.

Tell me about it. Would love 2 generals in the backfield. I would settle for one beast back there and one average player. haha

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was Stephen trying to dodge the question. He knew it was coming and needed an out, so he made that dumb comment.

Or he is actually football dumb. Like his Dad.

You're talking about a team that was flabbergasted to see a player ranked in the top 10 on their board on draft day. We're not talking about geniuses here.

No argument.
The proof is unfortunately in the pudding.

I have a real fear that there is going to be at least one real cringe-inducing moment during the draft.
I hope not, but I'm steeling myself for that moment.

There's no excuse for not being prepared. That Floyd debacle should have been unacceptable to any fan of this team. How the heck does that happen to a professional sports franchise? It's gross mismanagement.

So do I believe it's possible they "haven't sorted out" the QBs 10 days prior to the draft? With any other team I wouldn't. With them, I do.

You can't give them the benefit of the doubt any longer.
They have not come anywhere close to have earned it for the better part of two decades.
They have barely begun building trust with me again, but there is still too much stumbling and bumbling for my liking of a multi-million, heck- billion dollar company.
Even last year's draft was more like stumbling onto buried treasure than a cold, calculated plan performed to perfection.

I try to maintain a positive outlook and don't tend towards hysterics in either direction- but I do call a spade a spade.
