Then he’ll go ball some place else and guys we’ll be like man maybe we can give up a 3rd to get him back lol.

We thought Newman was done and he’s had a second wind. Church wasn’t good enough for this team and he’s now playing on a team that was one game away from Super Bowl. Demarcus was done and he won a Super Bowl and guys on this forum were hoping he’d play for us again before retirement/come out of retirement. Lol. I’ve seen this movie before.

This organization has a fool proof method to make it seem like it's the players fault.

Separation has never been Dez’s Forte. Ninety percent of this forum used to be like, you just need to throw it up to Dez. Even if he looks like he’s covered, he’s not.

Now that they got to defend Dak’s horrible play, they say things like Dez doesn’t get separation.
Risen doesn't shy away from bashing Dak. He is the biggest Dak hater

Not trying to troll, but I dont know if I could stand the drama guy brings if he played for my team.

Doesn’t seem like a a team player. His drama doesn’t seem worth his production. Just a non cowboys fan perspective FWIW.

Yes. Get a better backup OT and keep Zeke off the BS suspension list greatly improves the Cowboys offense. Greatly!

Add in Rico and the addition of another WR and they will be top 5 just like last year.
Those are sound adjustments which should help.

But my claim wasn’t stating specifically Dak was the problem while he does have some problems.

I just believe a more elite QB in this offense and upcoming era would be more helpful and why I suggested drafting one in 1st round. That didn’t mean we couldn’t have some success with Dak .

I was hoping after Daks remarkable Rookie season he was going to be the elite talent at QB we needed. I’m not so sure anymore.

Dak had a remarkable Rookie season but if you were evaluating Dak on 2017 alone it would be much different. I think there are some valid concerns that probably only winning can overcome.

That’s EXACTLY my point. Many in here, while believing that Dak IS the long-term answer, widely acknowledge the strides he’s must make to get better. But, reading others posts (you KNOW the crew that I speak of), you would swear the team was 5-11 in back-to-back years and he’s the WORST QB EVER!!!!!! Just like everything else in this country today, there doesn’t seem to be any middle ground....it’s all or nothing.

Jason Garrett gets paid a lot of money.. doesn’t seem that dollar value matches production as far as he goes, but that doesn’t seem to bother Stephen..

How doe you feel about Dez?

When the entire receiving group has a down year you have to look at th e common factors...

I will LMAO if they let Dez go and he goes to another team with a QB accurate beyond 10yds down field and a coach with even just a little bit of creativity because he will return to form.

Or will he melt down more than he does here because his new QB refuses to throw to him when he is covered.

Dez would be better off going somewhere else. Dak doesn’t appear to have the ability to optimize Dez abilities. I think they’ll keep Dez at least another season but a couple of my good friends think he’s probably gone if he doesn’t take a pay cut or restructure which all of this rhetoric is setting the table for.

The Cowboys would be better off if Dez wasn't here. Sounds like Dez leaving is a win/win.

This video is telling. I am not sure that the Cowboys will jettison Dez but the clear message is that Dez is way under performing his contract and the cost vs. benefit analysis is leaning strongly towards they are souring on Dez. They should be. He has sucked for 3 straight years.

Is Cole Beasley suddenly a bad route runner?

I say no. You may disagree but he is incredible at getting open.

Guess what though... When you only let him run 2 or 3 routes over and over and over then defenses just sit on those routes and guess what? Even a WR like Cole Beasley won't get open.

This entire WR unit didn't just get bad all of a sudden. Playing into our tendencies just makes it easy for our opponents. We have coaching problems. Not WR problems.

No. He's a very good route runner. But frustration began setting in toward the end of the year and it was affecting Beas' game.

We don’t need a QB and Dak can make all the throws. We need some better players around him primarily at WR. The OL needs some patchwork. We need to find a real solid backup LT. Too many are trying to make Dak out to be the issue.
I’m not disputing any of this or stating Dak is the core issue but this season did raise concerns .

I was hoping Dak was a more elite prolific passing QB. I don’t want a project. I want one of the most elite QB in the league . Most likely that’s going to be early in a draft .

I think that’s what we need to overcome our dysfunctional front office and coaching staff which weren’t enough with Romo but you think they will be with Dak.

I like Dak. Looked like he was going to save our franchise but now it’s beginning to look like he’s going to need more help that we’re counting on our mgmt to find while providing Dak better coaching. Both are unlikely with Jerry and Jason.

Why don’t we just swing for the fences and try and draft the next elite QB? It might take less time than retooling our offense and hoping our coaching staff will develop Dak. We need closer to the talent level at QB like we have at RB.

I could see the Niners picking him up. Jimmy G and Shanahan will turn him back into a Pro Bowl WR.

Or maybe they will cut him because they realize he can't run a route or catch the ball. I know, it doesn't matter if a wide receiver can't run, or catch or get open. Just throw the ball to them anyway and hope for the best. Then when it gets picked off, blame the QB.

We may have QB problems. We may have coaching problems. But we definitely have Dez problems. He needs to go so we can sort out whether of not we have other problems.
