Stephen Jones on La'el Collins!

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones: La'el Collins has the versatility to play right tackle, but "our first preference is to have him play guard."

Just passing what many of us already knew on the matter!

I understand what the Cowboys have said - and continue to say - but this is a decision I disagree with.

I think a line with Collins at RT looks a lot better than one attempting to rely on Chaz Green to stay healthy or Byron Bell to suddenly become good at football.

I completely understand your point but some were arguing the Cowboys did not think Collins was better suited to play inside at G because they wanted to move Collins to RT based on their opinion, in denial of what Garrett who recently said it was in Collins "best interest" to stay at LG and Stephen here who says Collins staying at LG is their actual preference.

I think some said Collins could not play RT which I disagree with but some of us think he can play RT but is better suited to LG in the NFL.

You have been consistent with your position without the absurd denials about what the team thinks, so I respect it without agreeing with it personally.

This means absolutely nothing.
The only thing we know is La'el Collins will start game 1 if he's healthy.

Playing RT is obviously harder than playing LG between the best center in football and a top 3 LT.

What it will come down to is how confident the boys are that Green can stay healthy.

Thanks, that's all that anyone could ask for.
