Aaron Murray in the third. Our next franchise QB.

We could probably get Murray in the 5th. He'll slip die to his ACL injury and inability to partake in the combine, along with the fact that he's undersized and lack of a big arm.

Well if we draft a QB, let's hope we find the once in a decade talent, because anything less wont be good enough to get this franchise to the playoffs, especially with it's battered defense. Hopefully we don't blow an early pick, there other more glaring needs despite Romo's 2 recent back surgeries.

This thread is depressing. We need to upgrade the trenches and these post are about diverting attention away from the real problems. Let's get back to problem solving and putting the Cowboys back into the playoffs and being someplace other than 8-8.

If we take anyone it is likely Murray or Mettenberger IMO. At least both are injured, so everyone can feel clever "stealing" them and getting "value". We like to redshirt injured draft picks so we can count them the following year.

Ivy League school. Smart. Like our head coach.

Doesn't mean he's another Garrett. If that were the case all stud QB's would helm from Michigan and Notre Dame after what Montana and Brady have accomplished.

With any talent, if you feel the player is a game changer and you have the chance to draft him, you have to.
problem is, I'm not sure if the pokes can recognize a game changer vs a prospects actual value.

And yes they need a QB soon
I think next year is the year to draft a QB
But if johnny football drops… jerry will be moist…..

Johnny Football has no chance of dropping IMO.. too many QB hungry teams. He will go to Jacksonville, Oakland, or Cleveland IMO. Only way to get him is if Jerry trades up.

Wow.. that was tough to even read. He sounds so much like his dad.

Both have a penchant for sounding like they are just repeating what others have said.

Stephen had a golden opportunity (at age 23) to lay the foundation for becoming a real NFL executive--he could have learned how to be a scout and then worked his way up.

But I guess that not what people of privilege do. They go straight to upper management. And then make silly comments like the number 18 overall pick in the 2012 draft being too rich for an eventual rookie pro-bowl safety who started all sixteen games for the number three overall defense in the league.

Trade away all our picks for the top pick in the draft and then draft Johnny Football. Rebuild the D-line by signing guys off waivers. Jerry, if you're reading this, I'm being sarcastic. Please don't do this.

Logan Thomas in the 5th, let's go!

Derranged hokie fan? Heck no. This dude sux!!!! Logan Thomas can't hit the broad side of a barn with a football. Everyone who plays VT knows it. Stop the run and the game is over. Logan can't beat College teams in the ACC throwing the ball. Nfl? Please. This is a joke.

Me personally as I've said all along would take a shot at Zach Mettenberger late in this draft because of his size, arm strength, and the ability to progress his game throughout.

Cam Cameron has done wonders with this kid and it showed this past offseason, 65 passing percentage, and 171 QB rating.
