So Funny, I was about to post this same thing.

This Organization really had **** to cheer for. Dez comes along, he puts us on the map. The same way Romo did when he took over as QB.

Dez has been a part of it he has also been a apart of 3 years of 8-8. A lot of guys have made this team relevant including guys like Tyron Smith, Ron Leary, Travis Frederick, and Zack Martin. Without those guys none of the star players are going to do anything. I think the world of Dez but he is not putting us on any map

I disagree, he was there during the 8-8 years yes, but I didnt see anyone on the sidelines including Witten, Ware, or Romo, snapping like Dez does. This season we saw it from Witten and Romo. Dez brings out the passion in other players. Hes a lot more to this franchise then just a WR

Actually a pretty steady reply by Stephen.

I agree.
Could have said, "We'll we like Dez so much, we have him, his "friends" and family under 24 hour surveillance. He's provided a 24/7 family counselor, attorney and nearby police/security department. I would say we go above and beyond for Dez's needs".

Dez does have passion yet we were still 8-8. I want Dez to remain but he is not some sole reason this team won a lot of guys including that group up front were very big in why this turn around happen. They make it happen because they give the QB time, they give the RB room to run without that group all that passion means nothing. There are a lot of guys that are the reason and when someone tries to make it out as if well it was all Dez that is a load of BS

You mean like the time Witten grabbed Dez and shouted at him to quit acting like an idiot? Pay close attention to Dez sideline rants. No one is listening to him. I like Dez but certainly wouldn't break the bank on him. I certainly don't think he's the heartbeat of the team either.
He's a great player with maturity issues.

This.

Without good solid line play, that passion turns into frustration and that's not a good thing.

I remember in 2013 dez throwing a tantrum at the end of a game. And Witten yelling at him and pointing at the score board.

Agree. Romo is the heart of this team IMO.

I agree with all of this. I would love for him to sign a long term deal. But if the team cant break the barrier because of the guaranteed money, i would not cry if they traded him. Get maximum value. You will lose something from losing a player like Dez but dont allow a player you dont trust to hold you hostage.

I am not saying he is the only reason we are where we are. I also recall the St Louis game when we were down by 21 and Dez was on the sideline pumping up the troops, including Romo, who won that game again?

Even in our 8-8 days with Dez. We still had him to look forward to, and him improving.

When you venture outside of here, and go to most sports forums, most sports fans view Dez as our Best player. Period. They also view him top 3 at his position.

These same forums that would **** on him, and say that his true colors will show, that he will fall off, he's not that good ect ect. I seen a complete turn around. Some fans(Non cowboys fans) Even say disrespectful things like he's better than CJ.

Sorry I don't buy into the player/cheerleader deal. These guys are pros, they know what it takes to win with out a player having to pump them up.
Again usually no ones listening to him during his pump up sessions.

Well im going to assume you are part of the let Dez walk crowd, and for the record, Romo, Murray, Witten, Williams have all said everything he says on the sidelines is positive, Romo actually said at one point its "laughable" for people to think otherwise. Dez is a leader on this team regardless of what you choose to believe

Dez said before the season he wouldnt be talking about his contract during the season. By the middle of the yr he starting flapping his gums. You cant help but love him on the field. But off the field you cant blame Dallas for trying to protect themselves from this guy.

Its not what he says on the sidelines that the Cowboys are worried about. Its the fact they have to have their security with him all the time 5 yrs into his career.

I'm a middle of the road guy with Dez. I want him here but not at the determinate of other positions. I still am a bit weary of his maturity.
As far as his sideline act? I really don't care. And when watching games and they put it on camera, it doesn't look like any one else does either.
