I was thinking the same thing. Is that good, or bad? Sometimes they just need to keep their mouths shut.
I think it is not all that intelligent to disclose how you are feeling in regards to contract negotiations through the media, especially when you start elaborating that the player was more productive and reliable in this past season when they really weren't.
On paper, McClain started more games in 2014, had more tackles, more INTs. The only thing he did much differently was the TD against Miami and of course was so reliable, he started the season suspended.
Kind of weakens your negotiating position and a smart agent throws that back in your face.
