McGee is still a good prospect and worth developing IMO.

I watched Him in college and based on that and his style offense, he will take a veery long time to adjust to the pros. and even then I'm not sold on weather He can do it or not. Actually I'm not sold on him at all. it's that simple, not to complicated. One pre-season game good or bad isnt going to change my mind.

For Me He is about 4-5 years away from being NFl ready and even then maybe just a backup.

For Me He is about 4-5 years away from being NFl ready and even then maybe just a backup. He DOES have a good arm and some NFL QB tools but they are nothing more then What We've already seen with failures like Drew Henson.
I honeslty believe that some of his supporters have never seen Him play and are just basing this potential off physical hability.
Even in his highlights you can see that This style of play will take years to develope. EVEN Romo playing at his level showed the capacity to throw the ball. Romo was As raw as they came but He Provided all the tools a QB needs to be succesfull. much more then this guy. This happy Feet run first style Qb is not what dallas needs for the future.

I will preface my comments that I am an A&M Season ticket hold for 10 years. So I likely will have some bias.
I agree that he has some of the physical tools in order to be an NFL QB.
I also think that he has the intangibles to be successful -- a) the kids obviously isnt afraid to take a hit, b) he seems to be very coachable going from a pass heavy offense in High School, to a Option based offense at A&M, c) aggie jokes aside, he seems to be intelligent / hard working given that he finished his undergrad degree (Business) and was working on a Masters degree his last year at A&M, & d) the competitive FIRE, you notice how when he was getting drilled by DL or LB he was popping back up talking smack.
While I agree that he didnt chunk the rock in college, i think that most (if not all) of this blame is at the feet of Coach Fran.
I personally think that McGee is in the perfect situation, Romo is definitely the starter. He can learn over the next 2 - 3 years developing under the radar. When you factor in Carson Palmers comment regarding Kitna, I think he may have a great mentor.
