this is my favorite draft pick.

he is tough as nails.

mobile

very good passer who never got the opportunity to showcase his arm at a&m.

smart

team player

reunited with m. bennett

6'3"

my favorite draft pick indeed.

i second this-i have been this guys advocate.I like his toughness and with good coaching he can be our future starter.

If he's a hit than our entire draft is a success.

QB's are to hard to find.

we need to draft his partner in crime from high school next year and really go to town.

In 3 years he could end up being better than Romo. I'm a Romo believer, but this kid seems to have more natural balls for he game than
Tony.

That'd be awesome to have two QBs with a higher player rating at their position than almost everyone else who's ever played. Can you imagine? We could trade one of them for a boatload of picks.

I agree. Jordan Shipley is the speedy, sure-handed WR/KR we need.

He just needs to be serviceable, he's a backup.
If he's good then you trade him for a first round or second round pick.

hopefully he can take over the starting job next year.
If that happens the season was a disaster and Romo was hurt as was Kitna.

well, i would consider no playoff wins a disaster and a need for a change(unless he tosses for 30+ td's during the season and plays really well on that playoff loss), as would most cowboy fans.

I assure you McGee is not the answer should Romo falter.

I heard his interview on the ticket today and i have to admit that i am a fan of his now. Just the way he talked about wanting to get better and do whatever he could to help the team made me want to root for him. He seemed very mature. He made a comment about doing whatever was asked of him and keeping his mouth shut really made me like him....a lot of players for the cowboys don't know how to do that.

In terms of changing our starting QB?

Absolutely not.

The sooner the better IMO. Heres hoping he throws for 3 TDs and 400 yds in every preseason game, then get lots of TV interviews, the kid does interview very well. The maybe we can get a first. :p:

Interesting the more a read about him. Kind of similar with what happend to Aikman at Oaklahoma, had he stayed there playing the wishbone he wouldn't have been drafted 1st. Good thing for us he got out of that situation and went to UCLA.

4 years and he'll be ready to take over if need be.

IF he does throw that well in preseason and Romo struggles to start the season or gets hurt, you will have QB controversy on your hands. Considering the fickle nature of Cowboys' fans and the frustration building from the past couple of seasons, a poor start by Romo would be an open invitation to a controversy:star:
