There is no way in hell Barkley is getting close to 2000 yards in this offense.. you would be getting a Barkley closer to the Giants than the Eagles….
Exactly. It took this team three months to figure out Rico Dowdle should get more than 8 carries per game, and all of a sudden boom, he's a 1000 yard back.

The Eagles Cap hell is every year and they thrive with it. It's never going to affect them more than it has the last couple years. They have the youngest defense in the NFL. If they have another draft like last year they won't be having problems with the Salary Cap for a while. I believe the only time you get into real trouble is when you have a really good draft, and have to pay all those players at the same time. . The GM over there would love to have our problems with just having to pay a handful of stars.

Hardly anything. We didn't have the blocking to truly unleash an excellent RB. , sometimes not a passing attack, and a coach who thinks run game as an afterthought.

And ...Jerry.
Good backs make their own holes, we've had backs that just run straight ahead and get knocked down for so long you've forgotten what a real back with talent is like.

Philly will have theirs coming up where they’ll have to make tough decisions
This was key, phil doesnt have a problem with tough decisions, neither do the rams, broncos, KC , and other good teams.
Other teams dont hesitate, they get rid of players like dak and parsons, and maybe trade a guy like CD if he wants too much $.
They find other cheaper players, and good HC's, always trying to get better, not stay the same.

Jones boys keep players like dak and other too long and overpay them, and dont hire the best HC's.

Jerry just wants to keep people talking and make $.
It is weird, cause he goes to every game ! you would think he would get tired of what he sees on field, but guess not.

Just remember, the Eagles if they make the SB this year, would have made three in the last 8 years. Every time they make one, fans here (and probably our idiotic owners too) say, "oh boy, they sold out for their run and now they are going to pay the price!!!!"

And magically, they somehow quickly clean up their cap and retool.

Jerry and Stephen should never put the word Eagles in their mouths. It just makes them look foolish. Roseman is running circles around these clowns.
Well....it's a HUGE "if" for them to make a SB this year....just like it is for any single team at this point, especially a team without a 1st round BYE. Nothing against them...just a basic fact, that there are 7 teams in the NFC going for it, and only 1 will go.

BUT, even if they don't go, ur point is valid: 2 superbowls (1 win, and rhe other probably should have been a win except for the chief-loving refs) in the span of 5 years, where they basically remade the entire team including the QB, does prove that Jerruh's Way is not the way it has to be or should be. A real GM could fix us....but, as always, Jerry's pride and ego are the most important things for the Cowboys....not you or I or the tens of millions of fans worldwide

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about how the Eagles roster is constructed vs. how the Cowboys are constructed with all of their salary cap issues:

“I’ll say it again, it’s the world’s smallest violin, but unfortunately we have over 50 percent of our cap on (injured reserve). Those things, when they hit and hit at the wrong time, it makes for a challenge for a team. Obviously, San Francisco is another team that’s had their share of injuries this year in terms of a big percentage of their cap sitting on IR. Those are things that come with the territory."

"I know everybody has their different battles with the cap that hit at different times. Philly will have theirs coming up where they’ll have to make tough decisions. But, yeah, we’re constantly looking at ways to look at our salary cap to give us the best opportunity with players like Dak (Prescott), CeeDee (Lamb) and Micah (Parsons), and you throw (Trevon) Diggs in there, to let those guys hopefully, No. 1, stay on the field, but No. 2, give us the best opportunity to make a great run.”

For the Love of God Cowboys fans - PLEASE STOP posting what the clueless owners have to say. It just makes us feel worse. PLEASE.

Most of your post was spot on, except this part (unless you intended this part as sarcasm)…Howie would never pay just a handful of stars. And that’s just one the differences…

No. I don't believe he would let someone like CD, or Parsons go. They have done a good job keeping their young stars under contract. Here they make a big deal out of it.

He wouldn’t have let CD go, of course not. But he would’ve signed him a year earlier for probably about $8 million less per year. And he would’ve found a trade partner for Dak. And if Dak would’ve refused the trade because of his no trade clause, he would’ve let it play out without resigning him.

Stephen.

In the past two years, the Eagles have handed out big contracts/extensions to Hurts, AJ Brown, D Smith, L Dickerson, etc. And this after they gave out a bad contract to Wentz that they were smart and got out of. And then this offseason, after realizing what they had wasn;t good enough, they hit FA hard and signed Huff (which in fairness looks to be a bad signing) and Barkley (which looks to be the best FA signing).

They don't make excuses. They just work the system.

You and your moron of a father are just excuse makers.
Does he know who his father is?
