Just saw this on R World.. don't know how to link:

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys reached out to free agent Kyle Orton, but that he's "still finished with football."

take it for what it's worth

Real confidence in Weeds huh?? Lol

Sure, bring him in, makes sure he pays back all the cash he ripped this team off for, have him apologize and kiss everyone's arse, and then NO,,, he sucks.

Wish I could give you multiple "Likes" for that. I wouldn't take him back if he played for nothing. He is untrustworthy.

How did he screw us really? Did you pay him out of your pocket??

You know I mean the team. He faked retirement to get out of our contract, then went to the Bills. Same as Ratliff faking injury to get out of contract, then immediately sign with the Bears

And we relied on Orton for an important season saving game, and he threw an INT to lose the game. He isn't actually a guaranteed winner

I have very little to none when it comes to Weeden. However, he is my Q Back now so I will root for him just like Tony. Hopefully he can go 500 and get us to Tony's return in a position to win the NFCE. I think we have the best team we have had in a long time so I am confident we can still win, even with Weeden.

He shouldnt. Deep down they have to be petrified about the thought of Weeden for next two months. Beginning this weekend opponents will be game planning for him.

If the team is even thinking about bringing another QB in, why is Weeden on the roster?

He's the backup. When the starter is hurt, the backup plays. lol. Weeden just backs up no matter what, even to guys not currently on the roster.

Weeden looks ready to me, and Orton was throwing picks when he was practicing every day. Can't imagine what he would be like now. At least Weeden won't be making mistakes because the ball doesn't get somewhere fast enough. Hopefully with a full year under his belt with good coaching he can do it.

I ain't mad at him.

He wanted to start.
He left.
He started for buffalo.
Had a nice year.

You're leaving out the part where he was under contract and stopped communicating with the team and did not show-up for camp and basically forced us to cut him while he kept all the guaranteed money. Yeah, **** that guy.

Yes he did throw it, but he also threw for over 350. I cannot see Weeds doing that against air.

They asked him about Kyle Orton and he said he wouldn't rule out anything. We will see going forward, but as I have stated a couple of times yesterday/today I would do all it takes to bring him back. Yes I know he screwed us but we can win with him.

Also, another nugget they just said about an upcoming opponent is that Drew Brees might have a torn rotator cuff!

Same arm?

They said the same thing for RB IIRC, and ended up trading for Michael
