I get wat you are saying but Shanahan's system is very specific and does not match well with all QB strengths. Even their improvisation is regimented.

It is possible for a QB to not work well in one system and better in another.

Lance took the QB1 job from JimmyG in 2022.

Rush isn’t his target.

Not exactly how it went down but ok.

They wanted to move on from jimmy so they drafted Lance way too early. Not often a high 1st round pick sits anymore. Yes love did but most don't, most start right away. Lance wasn't good when he played, and when Mr irrelevant outplayed him they decided to move on. That almost never happens unless like lance that high drafted player wasn't very good. He couldn't beat rush out for a backup role last year and probably not this year
