Oh, we're right there with the Chiefs. Just a "click" apart.
The big difference between Dak Fans v Haters (which includes any of us that have concerns) is that the FAN cant pinpoint the issue, the excuse's are perpetually moving from one game to the next (WR's, running game, O-Line, game calling, scheme, injury).I like that and that is the honest truth. Dak is supposed to be a difference maker in the playoffs. And is getting paid to be able to make plays when the going gets tough. He ends up being the weakness on the whole team once the get into the playoffs. And no amount of superstars can carry a man who is choking.
What else does he have. He’s propping up Dak and trying to sell a failed QB to fans that he’s getting ready to give a big extension to because winning regular season games in one of the weakest divisions is good enough to keep the $$$$ rolling in, just as good as KC, talk about delusional you just have to laughThe Chiefs have 5 Conference Championship trips, 3 Super Bowl appearances, and 2 Super Bowl wins in the past 5 years.
Stephen bragging about that regular season success is embarrassing.
Use to be one player away, that got stale so now it’s one click away. Really sadI feel like they have a template they follow and just change the names. It’s the same ole BS every year.
The sad part is all you have to do is read around here for a few minutes and see that many have bought what he's sold them. What else does he have. He’s propping up Dak and trying to sell a failed QB to fans that he’s getting ready to give a big extension to because winning regular season games in one of the weakest divisions is good enough to keep the $$$$ rolling in, just as good as KC, talk about delusional you just have to laugh
That is the real power. When the product won't sell, they will see things differently. If they don't do something soon, those "clicks" will be TV's turning off or switching channels.
I completely agree that FO's are often forced to say one thing while believing another. Unfortunately, we have seen this family double & triple down on bad decisions many times. Which makes you think they didn't understand they were bad decisions at any point in the process.Serious question
So many are throwing rocks and bashing Stephen and RIGHTFULLY so but that's not fixing the problem. Kinda like your own kid or employee making a huge mistake. You can yell, bash him, and curse him until he/she is blue in the face but guess what, the problem is still there.
We have a starting QB who likely has hit his ceiling, coming off the worst season of his career..............with a $50M cap hit, $89M dead cap. My question......how would fix the problem? or what can we do? At the end of the day you still 50+ players expecting an answer.
My take, it would not surprise me if Jerry, Stephen and the coaches are just as angry and frustrated as the fans but realize this mess can't be fixed w/o Dak and Todd France. I mean do we expect Stephen to tick Dak off knowing how much he's needed? Hell no, bite your tongue, message it, clean it up, and move on as quickly as possible.
This franchise is headed to the toilet if, in fact, they give Prescott a long extension. What else does he have. He’s propping up Dak and trying to sell a failed QB to fans that he’s getting ready to give a big extension to because winning regular season games in one of the weakest divisions is good enough to keep the $$$$ rolling in, just as good as KC, talk about delusional you just have to laugh
Tank in 2023 and hope Caleb Williams comes out for 24 draft.if they extend him with a raise, all that does is push more $ to the end of that extension.
So if they get rid of him later on there would be all that $ to consider. It is a cycle that is going to kill the team for few years at some point.
Better to deal with it now than later, let contract play out.
They could then tank in 24 and get a high round 1 pick.
The problem is an owner who appointed himself, and his son, in charge of personnel - including players - for life.Serious question
So many are throwing rocks and bashing Stephen and RIGHTFULLY so but that's not fixing the problem.
Dak and Zeke didn't agree to what the owner offered them. They agreed with their agent to ask for way more than their actually worth and don't negotiate. The Owner was too afraid to say no. Zekes contract is not killing the team. They can absorb that but Daks contract is a problem. The fact that he also wouldn't do a long term deal and the no trade clause has Dallas hogtied for this season. Daks performance against the 49ers the last two years he should be giving that money back.Dak and Zeke didn't write their contracts. They just signed what the idiots in charge offered them.
Well jones boys and MM think 23 is a SB year now, and even in 24 same thing lol, and jerry would never tank on purpose.Tank in 2023 and hope Caleb Williams comes out for 24 draft.

"I've got all the faith in the world we can win this thing with Dak," Jones said from the scouting combine in Indianapolis."
Why?
"Because we know him. We know what he's about. His leadership skills are undeniable. Impeccable work ethic," Jones said. "Other than he hadn't won some key playoff games, he's everything you want in a quarterback. From the day he walked in the door, he's won a lot of games. We just got to get over the hump."
Prescott is set to count $49.2 million against the 2023 salary cap. He is signed through 2024. If the Cowboys restructure Prescott's contract this year, they can create up to $22 million in cap space. With an extension, they could create even more room.
"We've got to have a plan to ultimately extend Dak," Jones said.
All Barnum and Bailey clown show, until "ultimately"."We've got to have a plan to ultimately extend Dak," Jones said.
Yep, as @Hawkeye0202 mentioned (and I agree with), there was something in the way that Dak performed in the 49ers game that left a scar and seriously questions whether he has acumen to be a leader at the highest level. All Barnum and Bailey clown show, until "ultimately".
Critical juncture for the team. Either it's go all in on Dak, or make him prove it.
That "ultimately" gives me hope they will make him prove it. I had assumed the extension was a foregone conclusion.
Andy Reid and the Hunt family versus Jason Garrett, Mike McCarthy and the Jones's.The Chiefs have 5 Conference Championship trips, 3 Super Bowl appearances, and 2 Super Bowl wins in the past 5 years.
Stephen bragging about that regular season success is embarrassing.
I mean, yeah, but Andy Reid was not the Andy Reid we think of now until Mahomes came to town.Andy Reid and the Hunt family versus Jason Garrett, Mike McCarthy and the Jones's.
That's the biggest reason we haven't enjoyed that kind of success.
