Stephen: We feel Dak is going to be a healthy QB for us and give us a chance to win championships

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan on continuing to restructure Dak Prescott's contact: "Obviously we have a lot of confidence that Dak's injury was one of those that was just unfortunate. ... We feel like he's gonna be a healthy, productive quarterback for us that will play at the very top of his game and give us a chance to win championships."

It's funny because I don't have that feeling and neither does 90 percent of the league.
But a fool and his money are soon parted.

As opposed to him saying, "Well, we screwed up by giving him a king's ransom on the tail-end of his career. We're stuck with this guy for at least this season and next so...guess we will only have a couple more years of this "drought" everyone is saying we have."

I wish he would be honest like the Browns owner about Watson.

You messed up. Own it.

We as fans would like you better if you own it instead of thinking you're smarter than all of us because you're a nepo baby.
Different sport but check out what the Arizona DBacks owner said about Jordan Montgomery. Rare.

You know the drill with these two. They think they can talk things into existence.

I really don’t know how he is going to win now when he couldn’t when he was younger and more physically able with a better roster around him and a much worse division.

Well of course Stephen has to say this…they have invested $240 MM (and foolishly so) in a 31 year-old QB whom the FO believes (at least publicly) will be able to lead their team to multiple playoff wins and ultimately a Super Bowl. I mean these are the expectations when a QB is paid, and therefore expected to be a difference maker in close games, which is something Dak cannot do. Sure…he looks great hanging 300+ yards against a team with the 26th ranked pass defense; but put him in a playoff game at home, against the 7th seeded team with the winner advancing to a Divisional playoff, he looks like a deer in headlights.

Can i have a “Cowboys!!” high five

More meaningless statements lol.
key words, Feel like, and unfortunate, and chance.

edit
They should let Shotty take over the statement stuff. Let him be the voice.
Honestly, the media should just stop asking them questions. I don't think anyone will miss it.

No one could this team to a Championship.
Mahomes would make this roster instantly better. But championship level? Probably not.

However, put Dak on KC's roster and they are nowhere near as successful as they have been the past 6 years. Mahomes has the 'it' factor, Dak doesn't.

I'm just going to disregard the "Championships" mention as poor marketing.

Is Dak Prescott injury prone now?
Cowboys scrambled to get a young developmental QB for a reason. If Dak keeps getting hurt we'll see if Bazooka Joe can make Dak...Romo 2.0.

Dak does not give a ring to anyone. Not his live in girlfriend or the fans

I don't want to massage your reply, but in all honesty, the circumstances behind the Brownies oowner'sremarks don't seem to be how Watson has failed as a QB but his off-field fantasies and cravings

Honestly.....what do you all expect him to say?????? Seriously, all coaches and players watching, what do you expect him to say?
