Waste of $10 million against the cap for a RB with a broken leg.
Curious….how many other NFL GMs feel the need to announce their thoughts and intentions on the upcoming season to everyone else?
I just don’t understand why these two can’t realize that this may be part of the problem since no other organization works this way.
I would go one step further than that. There is no reason whatsoever to pay $10 million to a RB. Much easier to draft a younger RB that can give you 80-90% of Pollard's productivity for a fraction of the cost.I think a smart FO would not extend dak, would not keep zeke, and would offer tony a decent deal, and he can take it or walk.
But this isnt a Smart FO, so I just let them do whatever, and laugh at them during the season.
Agree, at least that gives them a chance to see if Pollard is negatively affected by that injury without getting tied into a long term contract.I like that better than a long term deal.
IMO Pollard is worth the Tag if he's healthy and his production is up to previous levels. As for Zeke, Zeke needs to go.I would go one step further than that. yes but this is the jones boys lolI would go one step further than that. There is no reason whatsoever to pay $10 million to a RB. Much easier to draft a younger RB that can give you 80-90% of Pollard's productivity for a fraction of the cost.
My God. These 2 imbeciles are so arrogant they just speak without any thought of consequence. And why wouldnt they? They dont answer to anyone.
There is no way he can get back to where he was physically by the start of the season.IMO Pollard is worth the Tag if he's healthy and his production is up to previous levels. As for Zeke, Zeke needs to go.
Which would be a dumb move.Gotta be pollard
These idiots just love to hear themselves talk. By blabbing last year about Cooper every team knew they were going to cut him so they end up getting next to nothing for him. A real GM keeps things like that close to the vest and gets demand from more than one team ultimately ending up in maybe a 2nd round pick. Mohammed Sanu was dealt for a second round pick for god sakes and it was the great Bellichek who gave up the second in 2019 to get him. Bottom line you will always find a desperate team if they don't think you are giving up on the player.Curious….how many other NFL GMs feel the need to announce their thoughts and intentions on the upcoming season to everyone else?

While I wasnt a fan of them moving Cooper, this is apples to oranges. Sanu wasnt on the back side of a backloaded $20MM per year deal like Cooper was. I would compare the Cooper move more so to the Rams releasing Bobby Wagner. Maybe he had a no trade clause I'm not sure, but I'm guessing no one wanted to take on his deal so instead of moving him for even a 5th round pick they just let him walk. These idiots just love to hear themselves talk. I think they use it and go long term. His cap hit this yr will be around 6-7mil. They just have to get thru this yr with cap issues. Next yr they have crazy caproom and their core is already signed except for ceedee and Diggs. Then the new Sunday ticket deal will kick in the following yr adding more cap. Salaries and cap are just going to keep skyrocketing. Idk why they even have a cap anymoreWaste of $10 million against the cap for a RB with a broken leg.
Probably will be. Paying $10 million for a fifth-year, mid-round RB coming off a broken leg sounds exactly like the kind of thing the Jones morons would do.Gotta be pollard
I want no part of tagging Schultz again. The team has some young talent at that position. There's no need to burn about $14M on a guy who produced pretty average last year.Yeah Schultz is the one other option i could see, but franchising a player twice is more expensive too. I believe he would have to make 120% of what he did last year at a minimum.
