There is no way he can get back to where he was physically by the start of the season.
He will wear down as the season goes forward.
I would keep him if cheap, but not expect him to be like he was till 2024.
It's amazing how many fans criticize the Jones and then use the same 'like, our guy' principle that they do. If they looked at Tony dispassionately, in this environment, he's not worth $10m : with the injury, our CAP situation (and a draft which is supposedly stacked at RB).

Offer Pollard a two year deal, take it or leave it, based on a much reduced 2023 hit and fair guaranteed money in 2024.

While I wasnt a fan of them moving Cooper, this is apples to oranges. Sanu wasnt on the back side of a backloaded $20MM per year deal like Cooper was. I would compare the Cooper move more so to the Rams releasing Bobby Wagner. Maybe he had a no trade clause I'm not sure, but I'm guessing no one wanted to take on his deal so instead of moving him for even a 5th round pick they just let him walk.

If Cooper was worth more I think a team would have offered more. I mean if someone really wanted him you think they wouldnt have offered up a 4th just because Jerry talks to the media?
When teams know you are not happy with a player or plan to release them then yes that player has less value. The Browns didn't take on his deal they restructured it to better terms.

If you haven't been paying attention, Stephen has been getting exposed in negotiations for years (Greg Hardy, Zeke, Jaylon Smith, Dak Prescott, Randy Gregory).

He only likes dealing with rookies and the Franchise Tag because the language, structure, of terms of the deal are set by the NFL. Players/agents have no real ability to negotiate, they just have to take the deal or hold out/not play.

When the agents have the ability to negotiate, especially against other teams, Stephen loses. He lowballs other team's veterans and he overpays his own players.

Stephen is real bad at football and it kills this team's Super Bowl chances every year.

Nah that’s not how a restructure works. They took on the exact contract the cowboys had with the same guarantees. Had the cowboys kept him they would have done the same thing as that’s how the original contract was designed. It’s not like coop renegotiated or have Cleveland anything special.

I think the first part of your post about him having less value because of the team being vocal about him is fair. I disagree, but I’m a little more open minded to that argument. Coops contract really didn’t change due to the trade though.

as i said before they the jones might know how to shake some one down in a buss deal but they don't know how to put a winning team together and it show's by that stupid idea of franchising a running back with a injury like pollards. they didn't learn anything from there years before including zeke and look at the amari trade the browns shook down the cowboys and they played them for the fools they are so the remarks by lil jerry mean nothing he's more interested in the big boat and his party bus

yes I agree,as long as it is a fair deal and they dont expect him to be back to normal by start of season.
They said he will be ready for TC, which means he wont be back to normal at start of season.

Stephen may low ball him, while jerry would over pay him.
They also said they might draft one in the 1st lol, so I dont expect them to offer pollard much.

Feel bad for pollard as they wasted his 1st 4 years, and he was on peanut salary.
