Stephen: We're going to take a long hard look at how we've looked at free agency

When SJ said this regarding free agency, “We will take a long hard look at how we’ve looked at free agency. If we need to change some things there, we will.”
:lmao: :laugh::facepalm:

Translation from Jones-speak to English: “Haha! We aren’t changing anything. Look how much money we’re making.”

This. A thousand times this. If they planned to actually do it, they'd say "We are going to make some changes to how we handle free agency" and not just say "we're going to look into how we handle it."

It's all lies and misinformation to try to get fans off their backs temporarily. (And to get those idiot season pass holders to keep giving them money)

I bet we're the first team to sign a free agent in March.
March is too soon. All the good ones are still available and we don't have the money to sign top talent. Maybe we can get Zeke to play for league minimum?

So 20 mill instead of 18? Is that what you're saying stephen?

Post the FA list. I'll tell you which players in the top 10 we will sign.

Keep in mind we already have a trade worked out for Myles Garrett.
Ya, and outta that list just choose the guys that are on the downside of their careers that they can get for bottom dollar.

Just lip service, or are they serious. Or just seriously insane.
Taking a Long hard look, does not mean they will actually change.

I hope they do, they must change. They have a chance to change Along with a new unknown at HC.

However, they also must show is this change, as no one will believe it until it happens.
At this point to me, it’s lip service.

Just like Jerry declaring being All In and most people bought that up

Before everyone goes and misinterprets this as they’re going to go and sign a bunch of outside FAs… it doesn’t, it means they’re going to stop resigning their own FAs. No one outside of bonafide top 5 at their position will be getting a 2nd contract!

I did it myself.

Tee Higgins is a Cowboy. So is D.J. Reed. Guyton's moving to RT because we just signed Ronnie Stanley.

Add that with pairing up Micah with Garrett and that's a nice first week of free agency.

Well, the good thing is that this won't be hard to judge. They either spend in free agency or they continue to be cheap.

My hope is that they can actually see how they failed at the RB position by being cheap and devaluing it when an FA they probably could have had had a monster year. My expectation is that they will overspend on Dowdle and think that they fixed their mistake.

Even with the need to pay Parsons, this team could create enough cap space to actually go "all in" to catch and surpass the teams ahead of them. I think this will be lip service, though, and they will make very little change to their philosophy that outside FAs are not worth it. We'll see whether they are on the yacht during the first week of FA like usual.

He’s such a liar. They’re usually on literal vacation the first day of free agency, I’m pretty sure he knows that.

JUST LIKE WE NEED TO RUN THE BALL MORE, rush and dak are throwing 40+ times!!!!

Breaking news: To make fans happy we sign "Tee Higgins" (Boooooooooooo, thumbs down move, not happy!)

We're gonna take a long hard look at the way we have looked while looking at free agency, and what our team has looked like comparatively after we looked around the league at how other teams have looked.

Look, free agency is a tough process and it's not just for the lookie-loos, you have to be all in and willing to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, "did you look under every rock for talent?"
