Kobe wants that, he's tired of doing everything.

He called Nash and expressed this while recruiting him to forget rivalry and join LA. Nash and Kobe will play well off each other and everyone will get easy buckets. LA struggled to get anything easy last season.

Agreed why would Kobe recruit Nash if he wasn't willing to share the ball?

Kobe and Nash will play great together.

I cannot even put into words how excited I am for next season.

I'm sad, i was hoping Nash would come home to Canada to finish his career...Although the Raptors suck so i totally understand why he'd choose to play with a future HOF and a much better team.

I'll be rooting for the Lakers this year.

Well if that's the case, it should work out well for all. If i were them i'd stick with Bynum and Gasol over trying to throw a bunch of pieces into a trade for Howard though.

That's funny because I'm the exact opposite. While it would have been nice to see Nash in TO I would rather the greatest Canadain basketball player get a ring.

My poor mavs are sinking slowly in to mediocrity. Everyone of importance is bailing now and I can't blame them. If I'm Cubes, I ask Dirk if he wants to go to a contender, and trade for picks and some defense.

Then I tank the season and hope to get a top 1-3 pick. This gives us 2 picks and an opportunity to go after a new young super star. It's over for the Mavs I'm afraid.

Lakers Considering Offer From Magic

tumblr_m6pqmevt7A1r095sk.jpg

The Los Angeles Lakers are considering an offer from the Orlando Magic that would send Dwight Howard to L.A. in exchange for Andrew Bynum, a source close to the situation tells PepperOnSports.com.

I know, I know. You’ve heard it all before. Here’s the fun part:

The source says the Lakers have informed one player that he might be part of the package deal and that he could be traded at any moment.

The Lakers are “very interested” in acquiring Howard, according to the source.

Depending on which hour you inquire about a Bynum-for-Howard swap dictates the type of news you’ll get regarding the topic, so your guess is as good as mine. But as of Thursday afternoon pacific time, the Lakers front office phones were blazing hot with.

Whether or not the trade happens, it sure is courteous of the Lakers to give players with trade-potential a heads up in hopes of making a tough transition smoother. Stay classy, L.A.

It may be true but Mitch and LA don't normally notify any players until trade is complete.

If true, I believe the trade will happen if a player was notified.

I'd guess MWP will be the player, maybe Blake. Would like to keep MWP for his D and intensity but Hedo or JRich can hit open 3's more consistently than MWP.

I would really, really hate to lose World Peace. I don't understand why we can't just do a straight up swap of Bynum/Howard.

Orl has said one of Hedo or JRich has to be involved in his trade IIRC.

They would most likely amnesty MWP.

They can't. You can't amnesty a player you traded for.

I thought Howard said he doesn't want to play with Kobe's ego?

Howard told Kobe that he wanted to be the man and go to player in the clutch, so him and Bryant disagreed.

I guess money buys you whatever you want. NBA is getting like baseball. No restrictions it seems. The russian in Brooklyn is gonna pay over 2 billion in taxes and doesnt care.

This is why when we won last year, it was one of the greatest victories by a franchise in decades because we did it with one super star, and a really good surrounding cast.

We proved that you don't need 5 super stars on your team to win, just a great supporting cast. But everyone wants to load up in one place.

If Oklahoma had any brains, they would've played zone down the stretch like the mavs did, but they were hard headed, otherwise, the heat would still be without a championship.

Having teams load up is not a good idea IMO, and if it is, maybe the NFL should go back to it, Jerry would instantly build another dynasty, but so would Washington.

As was 1st reported by @Jackie_Pepper, a source confirms that Lakers working on trade that would bring @DwightHoward to LA for Bynum/others.

Source: After speaking w/ Kobe & Nash and liking what he heard, @DwightHoward has told the @Lakers he'll sign contract extension with them.

To be clear this is not a done deal yet, but source tells me @DwightHoward could become a Laker sometime over the weekend.

Source: David Weiss

Hopefully this is true so this whole Howard saga can finally be over.
