It's already the story in this forum. I swear half of the so-called Cowboys fans actually root for us to lose.
It's sad really. I don't mind fans from other teams. Even my friends who are eagles fans are tolerable and actually have objective football conversations. I think we have way too many casual/fair weather fans to be honest and they are way to emotional IMO.

Why do we have such a large fanbase, even in 2023? I used to see so many patriots fans, everywhere. I work with the military, I couldn't go a day without a patriot fan being somewhere. Now, I rarely see any. I was too young to enjoy the cowboys in the 90s but you'd think they would have more casual fans than we do owning the NFL for 2 decades. And also having an American themed moniker mascot such as the patriot.

combined records of teams Dallas beat is 4-11....Gimmie schedule to start the season

Dallas hasn't beaten a good team...The Season starts Sunday in San Fran....and in seasons past, Dallas hadn't bode well against teams with winning records, and Dallas has done a lot of talking this season, Talk is cheap, so Dallas will prove to a lot of people, Fans and Media alike whether they're Contenders or Pretenders Sunday night!

That will be the story this week by the media and haters. This 49ers game is going to be a great measuring stick. It would be a good time to shut the media and haters up for one week anyway. Let’s see if the Cowboys have closed in one the team that has eliminated them the last two post seasons. If not then they need to make some moves before the deadline. They should be all in this year.
We haven't and anyone who thinks we have is nuts

Very true, they'll be up for this game like they should have been for the cards game

When you are top 3 teams in the conference, unless youve played niners and eagles, mostly you havent "Beaten anyone.

Niners have beaten Steelers, Giants, Cards and Rams.

Eagles have beaten Pats, Vies, Bucs, and Washington.

Either of those teams have a world class schedule up to this point?

3-1 record says otherwise.

Incorrect. The entire season hangs on it.

If the Cowboys lose, they have proven they're incapable and doomed. It's the end and we'll hear it every week going forward.

If they win, the 49ers had a bad day.
I don't care what fans and media says.

Dak and the Cowboys went to GB and beat Rodgers in the regular season but come playoffs they still lost to GB.

In 07 giants lost to the Patriots but beat them in the Superbowl.

Regular season don't mean anything, the playoffs is what matters

Beating Philly and San Francisco in the regular season will make it easier to win in the post season. These games matter. If the Cowboys sweep the Niners and Eagles in their 3 games during the season, it will likely make them the #1 seed in the playoffs, which gives them a huge advantage in the playoffs.
When has that helped Dallas in the playoffs?

07 Dallas swept giants, number 1 seed and lost to giants in the playoffs.

Best GB in the regular season, lost to them in the playoffs.

List goes on and on with these examples

All depends. Getting blown out would be a big blow to the confidence of this team overall. On the other side a win would also catapult us into the rest of the season.

Not as good as a playoff win, but actually proving we can beat the Niners on the road would be huge.

Im thinking they left Tyron out the last two weeks just so he would be ready for the SF game.
Good points

It wouldn't hurt to be a team that is considered a formidable opponent. It wouldn't hurt at all.

Good teams beat the bad teams. That's how it works. What would the records of those teams be if Dallas didn't beat them?

It's funny how the Cowboys can beat down a team like the Jets and "it's only the Jets". Yet the media is drooling over Patrick Mahomes when the Chiefs beat the same team 23-20.

Or how Dallas' 35 point win over the Patriots means "the Pats suck" yet the Eagles beat them by 5 points and it's "The Eagles are clutch!"

Beating San Fran this week has no bearing on what this team will do come postseason.

Measuring stick is winning in the playoffs..... That's it. Not the Arizona game, Philly or San Fran will mean anything in the regular season
Do you think that the 49ers win over the Cowboys during the 1994 regular season had no bearing on the playoffs? IMO, if the Cowboys had won the regular season game, not only would they have had home field for the championship game, but they would have won because the 49ers would not have had any confidence going into the game that they could beat Dallas. That win made a huge difference.

The mental approach for the playoffs will be huge. Winning this game on Sunday will go a long way toward putting the Cowboys in a good spot mentally for any potential rematch.

This team isn't like the 90s Cowboys, hence the reason I gave recent examples of the opposite
