Lol at people saying no big deal if they lose…it is to me. I hate the freakin niners, to me beating Philly and the Niners are the ”must win” games. Not because it’s the 2 of the top teams it’s just the fact that I hate both with a passion.

On a side note, I don’t think the niners have looked that good. CMC has been a beast, no doubt. Most of their games have been close for much of the game, and they’ve pulled away at the end.

I’m a Cowboys fan, but consider myself to be a realist. While possessing a 3-1 record is noteworthy, I look at the level of competition this far and am not impressed. Played against Daniel Jones, Zack Wilson, Joshua Dobbs and Mac Jones…these QBs certainly don’t strike fear into defenses, yet Dobbs managed to throttle the Cowboys defense.
The Cowboys’ red zone offense continues to be anemic; fans seem to get caught up in total yards, which masks the issue at-hand.
The run defense certainly needs to improve; opposing teams seem to make their living running to the right side of Dallas’ d-line; if Dallas couldn’t contain the Cardinal’s RBs, how can we expect them to contain CMC, Deebo, Ayuk and Kittle.
The loss of Diggs also hurts; it weakens the run defense as it will make Dallas play more zone; and while Bland is playing well…he is not Diggs and I think both he and Gilmore will be challenged by SF in coverage
This game will be a benchmark game against a likely playoff opponent; this is a reality check for the Cowboys.
They have lost a single game by 12 points...oh hell yea, they should already be perfect. BOOOOOOOOOO:popcorn:

That will be the story this week by the media and haters. This 49ers game is going to be a great measuring stick. It would be a good time to shut the media and haters up for one week anyway. Let’s see if the Cowboys have closed in one the team that has eliminated them the last two post seasons. If not then they need to make some moves before the deadline. They should be all in this year.
I do agree that if there are areas where we struggle against San Fran, I would love to see the team be aggressive and address those areas. The Joneses might do that but probably by signing someone for $1 million who has been sitting on his couch since the end of last season.

They will move on to something else, or have an excuse.
Jerry and Dak both need to both up and quit so they can instead be proud...right?

Or shut the hell up and quit being eyesores for decades now.

Going for their 3rd straight 12 win seasons unmatched before but in dynasty periods by the Cowboys.

Neither have the Niners and Eagles. This isn't college football my guy. There are no NFL rankings that come out next month.

You are same guy who predicted this

Now it's 'we have beaten anyone yet'. Give me a break
San Fran's victory over the Rams might be quality, after all the Rams handed the Seahawks their only loss so far. And the Eagles beat the Bucs, who seem to be playing pretty decently. Of course, the Jets beat the Bills, so who knows?

ya no doubt these goal post movers will have that narrative in spin cycle before the game thread closes
If we lose, it’ll be epic overreaction and endless gleeful snark. If we win, it’ll be “a freak accurence” and “we’ll lose to SF in the playoffs!”

Who cares? Cowturd. Stephen A. Bart Scott. Shannon Sharp.

Any of them can say what they want. Means nothing to me. I'm not buying into their hate.
Like the good old days...before all day ESPN and so-med. We watched or listened to the game, read the newspaper recap...and MAYBE bought a preseason NFL mag.

How do these people even have jobs? Cowboys haters?

Worse part of the game is having to watch THE CATCH a million more times. YUCK!

The only measuring stick that matters is multiple playoff wins in the same season.

Obviously, the top NFC teams, based on not just this season but the last couple, are (in alphabetical order so as to not get a bunch of arguments as to the respective strengths of the teams) Dallas, Philly and SF. Apologies to Detroit, they're playing very well, but their history would say they won't be there at the end of the season.

It's not that what only matters is the post-season, it's that for Dallas to show they can compete with the other two leaders. Not only that, since Dallas will only play SF once in the regular season, you would lose the home field tiebreaker to SF. Losing to SF in the last two playoffs and with Philly making it to the SB indicates Dallas cannot, they have essentially become the 1960's Cowboys all over again. You know, the "can't win the big one", "next year's champions" and so forth. The longtime fans such as I had to suffer through that, no fun.

At some point also you have to do as the early 1990's team did - you take on the top dog and BEAT THEM. SF will continue to have the mojo over Dallas until that happens.

This is a HUGE game for Dallas. Big for SF also, though not quite as important. And whatever the Dallas players and coaches would say if they lose to SF, they will feel less confident in themselves with a SF loss, that's just human nature...

Oh yes, those playoff games in the 60's vs Packers and Cleveland. And then the Cowboys first superbowl appearance against the Baltimore Colts, which Dallas should have won. Bob Lilly slinging his helmet across the field in frustration.
